The disqualification is an absolute disgrace and the judges should be ashamed of themselves.

I've just seen the interview with the taekwondo guy  impossible not to feel sorry for him. "I don't want to cry on TV".

The golds just don't stop! If Nicola Adams and Joe Joyce sort out their opponents tomorrow, Mo Farah wins the 5,000m and Tom Daley takes the diving Team GB might stay ahead of China, which would be an insane result.

We're going to beat China. This is insane.

If Daley beats the Chinese I think we'll definitely do it.

I don't think he will but I reckon golds from Nicola Adams and Mo Farah will see us across the line.

This 4x400 disqualification thing stinks. No one is talking about it, no clear answers are being given.

I think the reason no one is talking about it is because there's no real video evidence to show why they've been disqualified. From what they were saying last night it seems like someone sat on the changeover line called foul for a very very minor infringement. The adjudicators being over zealous just took that and DQ'ed the team. The runners obviously objected but as the video of it is poor (I think someone's head is in the way) they can't definitively show that they didn't break the rule. As a result the DQ stands. It's all a bit of a farce and a case of bad refereeing and implementation of the rules but I dont think there's anything more shady than that. Brazil still won't get a medal and the stadium will still be half empty so it's all a bit of fuss over nothing, just a shame that Team GB are getting screwed over because of it.

What I don't understand is surely there is a fixed camera on the start/finish line, they show the angle every lap when they swap the baton over. They surely wouldn't turn the camera off for 40 secs and then back on for a few seconds and then off again for a few laps.

Poor Tom Daley. How can he score so little after yesterday's performance?
