Japan might get DQ'd - from what I could see the final runner was extremely close to overstepping his lane...

So tomorrow we've got the 2 boxing finals, Mo in the 5000m and Tom Daley in the diving. That could be 4 more golds!

Absolutely gutting for the guy in the Taekwondo final  he was absolutely devastated, understandably. Can't even imagine how tough that must be to take.

Still no official word as to why Britain were DQ in the 400m men's. Absolute disgrace some of the decisions at this olympics. The officials just shrug their shoulders and say them decision is final and then walk off without explaining it.

How has that 4x400m DQ not been overturned, I've watched the whole thing and all the analysis and there's clearly nothing strawberry floating wrong.

The fact they got DQ'ed so quickly seems incredibly sketchy as well, I'm not one for conspiracy theories but the referees at least need to come out and explain where the infringement was.

As for the Taekwondo guy :fp: That is incredibly poor form to lose it in 1 second from a restart. Literally all you need to do is move backwards as quickly as possible.

Great stuff from the female relay team, the men were miles out of it. Fantastic to see Bolt do the triple triple, an absolutely awesome achievement. That may never be equalled.

It reeks of we need a Brazlian team in the race for the last night to help boost ticket sales and tv viewing figures. I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories, but if we've done something wrong then you at least need to tell us what it is. If I was the 400m team and they still haven't said what we did wrong by tonight then I would turn up at the stadium, ready to race and cause a big fuss on tv.

The US DQ in the 4x100m looks incredibly sketchy as well.

With these events the bias should be very much in favour of not DQ'ing anybody.

With the US one though you could see that they had their hand on the baton before the designated area, so that seems fair enough to me.

The fact that the athletes and commentators etc are struggling to find a valid reason for being DQd seems a bit weird, although Steve Cram said that Rooney had one foot outside of the line, so perhaps that's what it is. Rubbish that the IAAF haven't confirmed it though. If they know for sure what is, why not at least tell the athletes.

Just watching the coverage from last night until the end, they say that Michael Hudson had a foot on the red line when the hand over came to him. When you look at that handover in context of a 4x400m handover in general the DQ is ridiculous. There's clearly no benefit gained even if the infringement actually took place.

Bolts comments at the end about Steve Cram were great  Such a legend
