The ceremony itself was decent enough, the tree rings were really nice and the torch sun thing is well plush. Fireworks were pretty epic too.

Ugh, Clare Balding is one every damn time I turn the coverage on. Such a detestable woman, wish she'd strawberry float off. No doubt she's going to be on exessive amounts of coverage.

The road race is incomprehensible but fascinating

I've been catching bits and pieces here and there today and I was really shocked at just how empty the venues are. The beach volleyball was bad enough. I then tuned into the women's rugby and there was pretty much NOBODY there.

Ticket prices start at $20...under £5 for us. Apparently over 1 million are yet to be sold.

A lot of people haven't been able to get into the events due to ridiculous queues.

Been watching some of the rowing, judo, rugby and swimming. Women's rugby was so poor, so slow and scrappy, not surprised there was barely anyone there.
