One thing that annoyed me was that clicking your right stick in activates eagle vision, or whatever they call it in this where you can find treasure. But this also doubles as the 'I'm a moron and don't know what I'm doing' button. 'Maybe if I use that Greek fire I can burn down that barricade'. I HAVEN'T EVEN FOUND THE strawberry floating BARRICADE YET. OR THE FIRE.

Started on this today. Wow it's pretty. Just picked up my first revolver and also finished my first tomb.... Which was optional :| a strange choice for a game about the raiding of tombs. Anyway, I climbed some ice and got to the top and was about to enter the tomb to be told... The climbing the ice was the tomb.

The combat isn't too bad, I've only really used th bow so far and it does the job.

Wish my image sig would work

Got this for Christmas and just started it.

The story is the biggest load of balls and I'm only at the first camp. Why do we have to stop these awful bad guys from getting the artefact? Why does everything collapse around Lara as she walks/runs/speaks?

Just going to save myself time and skip the cutscenes I think.

I have to agree. I'm 6 hours in and I'm enjoying the gameplay but the storyline is getting in the way and dragging the whole thing down. And then it makes me wonder if I should keep playing as all I'm really doing is hoovering up collectables on a map.

Exactly this dude. I spent about 30 minutes in the first area just collecting all the documents and artefacts etc. Story is balls.

Has anyone tried the zombies mode, is it any good?

I've been battering this and really enjoying it. Only one more significant upgrade to get. It's very much a collect em all game as you really need tons of stuff for all the upgrades and power ups. However it's pretty easy so no real need to worry about them.

I enjoy the rest exploring and the combat is ok. Just wish there was more hunting to do or at least some open areas to explore. The map is very much mini section to mini section rather than an open world.

I've not had to use a guide for it yet as it's puzzle light and upgrade and collect heavy.

Also when fighting animals the bow is stupidly over powered compared to the guns. Poison smoke arrows makes each hunt brief and one sided.

Just started this today, only got to the first base camp but i've enjoyed what i've played so far and it looks amazing (Playing on PS4 Pro using Enriched Visuals mode) i really liked the 2013 reboot and as this feels more of the same i'm a happy camper

And finished. The last few sections really over stay their welcome. Overall a very enjoyable and polished game. Would definitely recommend to fans of Uncharted. I've not played Uncharted 4 so may pick that up cheap as Tomb Raider has got me interested in a good adventure game.

Has anyone played the tomb raider additional content? Is it worth playing as I have expedition mode, loads of cards and Lara's nightmare.

Played this on my pro for the first time today. Went with the high frame rate mode because 30 fps looks like utter gooseberry fool after gaming on my pc recently.

I got bored of this over Christmas an abandoned it. I think the only thing that kept me coming back was the fact it looks incredible.

Just seen that Rhianna Pratchett is leaving the Tomb Raider franchise. After all the criticism the plot seems to attract, that can only be a good thing, right? The writing in the first game is utterly abysmal at times, but I'm not sure if that's down to her or to other direction (the amount of sections in the first game where Lara's can recover from being shot in the head three or four times but then falls down a hill and hurts herself badly enough that she has to find a first aid kit to progress the plot is just embarassing :fp: doesn't make any sense. Same with the stupid "kill the deer for food" mission at the very start when she never has to eat again...) Wonder if she did anything for the new game before she left.

Dq would probably have more longevity and be more interesting.

I'm 21% done at the moment, I've just got to the part where the Baba Yaga DLC missions have opened up.....am I ok to do these now? I won't get stuck because I don't have a specific skill or item will I?

I left it until I finished the main story and I think you can enter but you can't get out until you've finished that Baba Yaga mission.

I did the Baba Yaga DLC quite early on in the game and it didn't affect the main story at all. Plus you get a cool outfit and weapon at the end of it. The latter has a trophy related to it too
