Yeah, I really hope we get a good final fight. We've got 7 minutes of program left, which bodes well.

Edit: another chunk of arena gone.

The Apollo team going mental.

Boring. Both robots having broken weapons trying to nudge eachother round.
Reckon Apollo won though.

Don't get why Apollo didn't just get Carbide in it's "jaw" after the flipper broke then just dumped them in the pit. So many matches where both robots have had broken weapons :dread:

Honestly if Apollo doesn't win that I will riot

(Have any of these judges decisions *not* been unanimous? )

If I'm honest, I'm a bit bored of spinners and wedge-shaped flippers.

I reckon they should just totally ban them for one series so teams had to use their imagination a bit more

Would have loved to have seen Apollo take out Killalot, though

I'd be for this.

Only trouble is the robots that use a bit more imagination and are good like Thor and Behemoth are thin on the ground.

Pleased to see Apollo win. Theres flippers and theres flippers that actually are exciting to watch. Apollo definitely in the latter!

Spinners and flippers have consistently proven themselves to be the most effective types of robot, for damage dealing and immobilising respectively. There's very little incentive for people to deviate from those models. It's hard to imagine exactly what else the show can do to encourage a bit more variety in design. You could stop people using those types for a series, but then any robots that do well there will probably lose as soon as they go up against spinners or flippers in the next series.

Glad Apollo won. Amused how sheepish the Carbide guy got whenever things didn't look good. Not so cocky now shitface.

Was glad Thor got picked but they really should have had another ep or fight to choose the final entry.

Another series please. GR robot? :shifty:

Just started watching the final now.
Damn straight they chose Thor to go through. Would've been an utter disgrace for any of the others to be picked over him.
