Damn straight they chose Thor to go through. Would've been an utter disgrace for any of the others to be picked over him.

Behemoth should've got in. He's a beast.

I wanted Carbide to win but the Apollo team were great so not too bothered. I'm just bored of flippers! I know there are a lot of spinners too but a) Carbide is no ordinary spinner and b) I love the carnage, real shame it started to malfunction towards the end of the series. I reckon Chaos 2 is a better robot than Apollo.

Thing is flippers were boring before, because literally every side of the arena was flippable.

So many robots can self right now that flippers are not OP since it's actually hard for them to win now.

Oh man....about to watch the final now.

I felt so bad for Thor. One guy somehow managing to just keep that thing going and going, but just couldn't manage it here.
The fact that he somehow managed to come back at all after that fight with Carbide is strawberry floating amazing.

There is no doubt that the simple wedge flipper is an effective design if engineered properly but I'm not bored of them because they're effective, I'm bored of them because they do not cause metal crunching carnage! In my opinion they are less spectacular, even when they're chucking house robots around.

Battlebots is utter shite, seen a few episodes on youtube and it really is terrible.

The robots are awful too with ineffective weapons, no self righting mechanisms in sight and make even the worst RW robots look high tech.

Wrecks with an amazing spinner yet no mobility due to the stupid walking system.

Warhead looks like a Razer rip off.

Edit: oh, is it the same team?

I'm not sure who any of these hosts/judges are.

It's understandable why they came back to Robot Wars with Razer, at least :slol: That was dreadful.

Interesting that there's no pit or house robots or anything. Just a few slightly more extreme arena weapons...
