Herbi, three tips:

1. Don't neglect Ball Cam so much. While there's a definite learning curve to playing with it on, it pays off in spades. You'll have much better awareness and be more comfortable in the air or on the walls. You should only take it off to quickly check your surroundings, but I don't even do that.
2. Don't "drive" anywhere unless the timing makes sense to meet the ball. Two or three flips is enough to get you to top speed (where you have the purple trail) so use that to zip around at boost speed without using any actual boost. If you're going around at normal speed, it's easier for the opponent to predict your movements and your split-second range to react is much shorter.

Never played a game that makes people make so much noise, aside from maybe local four player MK64.

It's really special.

I'm gooseberry fool at this but I've just got a mic and I've never heard Jiggly IRL and the prospect entices/horrifies me in equal measure, do you lot play a league or can I jump in any time you're playing on here?

PS4 players have just finished a League. Now that Crossplay is patched and easy to do there's a chance those of us on Steam will join in. That said PC players tend to play most evenings around 8 for an hour or two. Epic games and the voice chat makes it so much more fun. Great laughs and abuse to be had.
