Played a bit of the basketball tonight. That's a lot of fun! m A shame the online playlist is 2v2 and not 3v3, though.

I've found the hoops mode somewhat difficult. Tough getting my head around the vertical nature of it compared to the regular modes.

The issue I'm having with hoops is that I've spent so long developing my ground game in standard that I'm dreadful in the air. The only way I can seem to score is to bank it in off the wall, because all my direct shots just go sailing past through not being lofty enough.

We should get some forum games going. The incompetence will be good for a giggle.

Nah, I spend hardly any time at "aerial height" (higher than the crossbar), unless it's off the wall. To progress through the higher ranks (and to git gud at hoops) you need to basically be flying around at the ball no matter the height. If I play ranked standard now, the ball hardly ever touches the ground, and I'm constantly getting a torrent of gooseberry fool from my teammates for being a "retard" who doesn't go for anything because I'm waiting for the ball to bounce so I can control it and run along the ground.

Definitely in. Played a few games of this and it's not easy, although I find trying to save 'shots' quite fun and rewarding if you keep it out. Cool update.

Found myself looking at Rocket League gifs on Imgur and came across some great ones:
