RockShot Is A F2P Shooter That Looks Like The Spiritual Successor To Devil’s Third Online

If the above trailer for RockShot reminds you of Devil’s Third Online, the multiplayer part of Devil’s Third, it’s because it was basically made by the same staff from Soleil, who developed both Devil’s Third and Devil’s Third Online.

I don't know how many people here actually played Devil's Third (just me and jawa? ) but the multiplayer was actually brilliant - the only thing letting it down was the complete lack of players.

From the trailer RockShot looks to recreate the multiplayer, with the hybrid third/first person shooting, the brawler style melee, and (hopefully) the free-flowing and liberal traversal. It also keeps going with the meta-game of base building and fighting for territory which adds a whole extra layer to the experience.

So does this interest anyone else, or just me?

I just wish it was coming to console, not really a fan of keyboard + mouse shooters and I'd probably feel at a disadvantage playing with a controller on my laptop.

I played Devils Third and liked it, though I never tried the multiplayer before it shut down.

... . It does bear a close resemblance to DT albeit albeit with the weird characters seemingly replaced by blander generic action people. I like the look of it and would definitely give it a go if it gets a PS4 or Switch release.
