No Rockstar presence at E3 at all

According to a tweet from Nuts associate editor Rory Buckeridge, Rockstar has pulled out of “launching” a title at E3 in two weeks time.

The missive goes like this:

“And Rockstar have pulled their E3 game launch. Oopsie.”

This could mean that we’re about to either miss a full-blown reveal of PS3 exclusive Agent, or a brand new Grand Theft Auto: something which has been predicted for months by analysts.

It comes as reports over the weekend showed an E3 list over the weekend which contained a new GTA, known as “Grand Theft Auto V: Vice City” (thanks, TSA).

We’ve just been told that Rockstar will have no “presence” at this year’s E3.

A Rockstar rep told us that the company has decided that LA Noire and Max Payne 3 are to be shown outside the LA event at a later date.

The news comes after it was tweeted by a UK journalist this morning that a Rockstar game “launch” had been pulled from E3.

We still get Reggie coming on stage with a GTA5 tattoo, right?

I have it on good authority there will be some Rockstar presence at the show.

I remember with San Andreas they released a few screens before E3 but then they waited until E3 was over before they actually fully revealed the game.

Lots of developers seem to have the same idea this year. Usually before E3 you just get the crapy games unveiled a few days early so they can grab some attention, but this year it is very big name games that are being revealed early. There must be some big announcements coming at E3 to get LBP2 and Killzone 3 to be shown so early.

I'm dying to know what the teaser poster in the GTAIV booklet was about.

That was about the episodes going to PC and PS3 back in March. Disappointing I know.
