The 'NOOOO' scene was dire! But I didn't have an issue with the 'Choke' scene. I didn't notice it until the other night when watching ROTJ, that Lucas stuck a 'NOOOO' voice over as Vader grabs the Emperor!

I always thought the noooo scene was a reference to when Vader appears at the end of revenge of the sith, I also didn't realise that it had been dubbed into ROTJ.

I genuinely think that's the worst thing Lucas ever did to the OT. It literally ruins the emotional climax of the film. Where originally you could see Vader being ripped apart THROUGH A MASK (which is a genuine achievement!), now you've got some ham acting so it "rhymes like poetry".

I think a Boba Fett film would suffer from the same thing as the Punisher films did, in that the hero doesn't have enough depth to make the film genuinely good. I think a film with Jabba sending a load of bounty hunters after a new character would work. It could culminate in Boba Fett doing something truly brutal in broad daylight to cement his notoriety so we know why he's such a badass in Empire. If set pre-IV it could have a passing reference to the "dropped shipment" that causes all the trouble for Han.

Yes, I am part of the problem :shifty:.

That'd be awesome, if you didn't check out the Star Wars Comic-con panel (spoiler for future trilogy possibly)
when someone asks about Plageus's future Daisy Ridley says "is that sn.." then is instantly interrupted and stared down by JJ, and then he quickly moves on... so alot of people think plageus = snoke
.

IDK the history anymore, I know there was The Old Republic, but that was extended trilogy so idk how far back the 'force' history goes before TPM.

Yeah watched it again on Saturday, I love it, I have issues all over the place with it, but damn it I love it.

Oh I am sure I spotted on Yavin was a YT-2000 which is the main ship in X-Wing Alliance
Though I am probably wrong, also I am still wondering who the fat guy that plays Red 5 is, I know Red 5 is Lukes call sign in a new hope, so that is why they show him, but it also feels like a cameo.

I've seen it twice so far, first in the cinema, then second with that crappy yaaarrrr version. I need to get to the cinema again before it leaves.

Great film spoilt by the obvious computer generated main character - it will look even worse in 4k! Better than star wars 7.

Aren't cinemas usually 4K+ anyway?

We need this man to do a between-6-and-7 Luke Skywalker trilogy! #draftbucky

I'd like a film about the Midi-chlorian's as they sound fantastic.

Alvin Flummux wrote:1. Boba Fett seems to be a pretty legendary bounty hunter, which is why he is among the handful hired by the Empire to find the Falcon. It's more than likely Solo and Chewbacca knew of Fett by reputation alone, and given the circles they both ran in, they probably had crossed paths before.
2. We already have Fett's origin in Episode II.

I'd be much more interested in a Fett film starting out where Episode VI left him - in the Sarlacc's stomach. Let's see his story during the waning days of the Empire and beyond. It could give us a look at that era without having to overtly thrusting more Young Original Cast in our faces.

I also might be interested in a Vader-centric film, were it not for the possibility that he may cry "NoOo" at every turn.

There's also that restored Han and Jabba scene from A New Hope (Originally Jabba was human) and Boba was there with him then.

Watched this finally today.

Genuinly that was the best Star Wars film since Empire. Even if I am pissed they wrote Kyle Katam out of the canon.

I agree they're a close match but that picture has been slightly shopped to bring SS's eyes closer together, nostrils less flared and mouth shape slightly different; this is the original. Nothing that couldn't be solved with pretty basic FX in this day and age though.

It doesn't even need to be a perfect match. On that note, why they didn't just cast a suitable actor for Cushing's old role, I don't know. Surely any audience can be appreciative of the fact someone is bloody dead (or several decades older)?!

Cushing had a very distinct facial appearance and voice, which would be difficult for a replacement actor to replicate under any conditions. I thought the CG actor was believable and well done.

I think the CG was unnecessary but Guy Henry was good in the role.

Same, saw it the other week and thought it was brilliant. The pacing at the start was a bit off with it constantly cutting from location to location but the final third was amazing.
