Had no idea she was mixed-race until the Guardian started banging on about it today. Incredible how they have to view everything through a prism of race and gender. Where's that Harrison Ford gif when you need it.
No bank holiday for the wedding though, so this is immediately of no interest.

A couple of days ago I heard Megan Markle talk for the first time on a chat show, was surprised that she wasn't the usual Hollywood type and she came across really well. I've seen a bit of news today and have learnt that she is a UN advocate for women and ambassador for World Vision and has done a lot of charity work so actually really well primed for a dutiful royal life - better than those entitled aristocratic girls (with disproportionately high foreheads) he messed about with.
I've just watched their joint interview and I have to say, either she is a brilliant actress or she is massively in love. Very smilie, almost bursting! Good luck to them!
Americans will love it because it's the princess fantasy come to life. They've always had a fascination with British royalty and now one of their own will be a part of it so that will be big.

Some of the supposedly worst words are words I'd consider fairly tame, I mean do gay people really find the word shirtlifter that offensive - I would never say it to anyone because I'm not a homophobe but also because it's such an old fashioned and childish insult.

I thought it had been confirmed earlier today that there wouldn't be one for Harry getting married.

this is really disengenuous; the Guardian are likely mentioning it because there has been a pretty overt discussion in nasty and negative terms about her race, not because theyre obsessed or have to veiw everything through a Liberal prism as you seem to be suggesting.
