I don't get rugby, first win in Wales for 22 years and the Scottish fans meet it with polite applause

So strawberry floating close! An amazing game overall, really enjoyed what I've seen of this weekend of the tournament after my excitement going in was at rock bottom.

Probably trying to compose themselves after nearly losing from 27-0, to be fair!

Crazy game, I'd have taken 2 bps if offered at half time and while there's plenty to work on at least there's some positives to take.

Scotland looked very good for 50 minutes and then lost their heads a bit but saw the game out from a position they could have crumbled in so deserve a lot of credit.

Brilliant! I managed to miss the Wales Scotland match as I wasn’t expecting much….. What an idiot :fp: Enjoyed last night’s match and the Italy England game wasn’t bad but it looks like I missed the best match of the opening weekend. On a more positive note at least the tournament is shaping up to be a lot better than I was expecting.

Won’t be making last week’s mistake of not watching all the matches this weekend. :)

That said, fully expecting England to lose tomorrow - can see Wales exploiting outside space given that England have been using the blitz defence for a whole one match so far. (If we go two or three early tries down no doubt the defence will ‘revert to type’ though.)

Anyway, looking forward to a, hopefully, great weekend of rugby.

Never understand why sides try and sit on such slender leads.

Edit: nearly a hell of an ending though!

Oh dear. Having slated Dan Biggar in the past, thought his post-match analysis was spot on. Humble pie for me…

Yep, his analysis was great, and he seems like a good fit in the pundits box. His rugby intelligence has always been on point, but now you get to see it without the hot headed chopsyness that accompanied it on field. I bet he'd be miles better in commentary than Shane Williams is as well, can't stand listening to him spouting the obvious or endless empty platitudes.

Gutted with the result, but really impressed with what this Wales side has done to improve on last week, with a lot of changes in such an inexperienced squad.

All three matches this weekend look fascinating.

However, I’m not sure I can bear to watch England vs Ireland! Despite Andy Farrell’s public statements I can’t help but think that he must be looking at England’s work-in-progress blitz defence and licking his lips like a wolf that’s just spotted a new born lamb. Might have to watch with a cushion to hand like watching the scary bits of Dr Who when I was a child!! (See, for example, Jon Pertwee vs the Sea Devils.)

Ireland will destroy England, no doubt about it.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Awesome!

You’d think Italy had won the World Cup!

Just caught up with the final score of the Italy Scotland game. Holy gooseberry fool, what a game to miss the second half of. :fp:

Neither did I! Brilliant though. Great attack, great defence. Everything England are supposed to be boring at really. Be a while before I come down from this one.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s match too. Don’t have any preference, just think it could be a really good match.

Edit: Also, Ben Earls was magnificent.

Not very often am I supporting England but glad they stopped the double grand slam today, great game of rugby.

7 of the 11 matches so far this tournament have ended with less than 5 points as the difference the teams, been a great tournament for close games.
