As the England team touchdown in New Zealand, it seemed like a good time to start the thread.

I want your predictions, thoughts, banter, and comments. I'll keep the OP as up to date as I can.

9 days to go!

Don't know much about rugger but we've got Sky Sports in the flat so will shallowly be supporting England. Go'on boys.

Is this the sport that isn't football? Meh, might give it a watch if England do alright.

All the England matches are on at watchable times. Scotland's first one is at 2am though

Scotland V England will be the deciding fixture in that group. The losers play New Zealand in the quarters, the winners play France, more than likely. Good chance Scotland can win that group.

Why did this have to be in New Zealand. :fp: strawberry floating ridiculous starting times for every single game I want to watch.

My boss is going to see England out there. Obviously I say the pc thing that I want England to do well, but truthfully I couldn't give a flying strawberry float about a bunch of egg chasers. The real world cup isn't till 2014

Edit: least it is better than American football which just keeps stopping play every 10 seconds and is generally just gay and gooseberry fool

Cool Story Bro.

Anyway, I'm not really expecting much from Ireland. The build up seems like 2007 all over again. Hopefully I'm just being pessimistic, but in reality Ireland should be making it to at least the semi finals based on potential, and not making it there means that the coach, Declan Kidney, has utterly failed.

It's fantastic that all of England's group games are on at weekends and at reasonable times. Hopefully I'll be able to catch at least 2 of them.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

So before this gets underway, how about we all do our picks for who the two qualifiers from each group will be, and then the final and winner. For me...

Group A
1. New Zealand
2. France

Group B
1. England
2. Argentina

Group C
1. Australia
2. Ireland

Group D
1. South Africa
2. Wales

Final
Australia v New Zealand

Winner
Australia

I'd say Australia v England for the final, but I think the home advantage will see NZ through, despite their bottling tendencies. Reckon Australia will win ultimately though.
