Massively excited for this. Even more excited that I can watch this without strawberry floating up my sleeping pattern like it did last time  - I have tickets to the Wales/Fiji game on the 1st October and am expecting a famous win ;)

I had an OP/topic all planned for this. If I post my content can a mod merge them?

Will watch England and few of the other games. Had no interest in trying to get tickets as it all seems a massive rip off.

Ireland squad confirmed today, no Trimble but the back three was always going to throw up a surprise omission there was so much competition. Super hyped for this, its going to be a great tournament.

Webb going off the pitch on a stretcher right now. Awful news for him and Wales, looks very serious. He's been great for the last year!

And Halfpenny as well, poor Wales :dread:

Despite Ireland's shocking first half I'm not too concerned yet. England have to start all guns blazing with Fiji, Wales & Australia first up whereas we have Canada, Romania and Italy, so we can slowly get into the tournament.

Was sat really close to the Webb injury - horrific. Not even a good Welsh performance - atmosphere was awful for Millenium standards (massively dropped after first injury and even more after Halfpenny went off). Ugh. Also I'm fairly sure the Welsh goat that accompanies the marching band before the game has died. This was my 8th millennium stad game in the last 4 years and the first without the goat.

What a strawberry floating day.

Not too concerning for Ireland yesterday but Bowe was strawberry floating abysmal, most unlike him. Looked like he had no idea what position he was supposed to be in and when Johnny May steamrollers you then you know you're in trouble. Not too convinced with Zebo at FB either but I'm guessing that was more a utility role than anything else. Far too scrappy from both sides overall although positives from Eng's second row and Brown was excellent (but then when is he not).

Any point doing a list of who's supporting who/who everyone thinks will win in the OP?

Big blow for Wales.

Three of our potentially top performers in Davies, Webb and Halfpenny out. Not good for a side who struggle with depth anyway. Will be nothing short of a miracle if they get out the group.

I actually think Webb is the bigger blow. I think people really underestimate Biggar's kicking and Liam Williams going into full back isn't a bad thing by any means. Halfpenny isn't exactly the complete full back after all.

I agree about Biggar but surprised to hear someone say that about Webb. I know he plays okay for Ospreys but whenever I see him in a Wales shirt he doesn't strike me as that great. In fact I've always been about confused about the dual-Rhys policy whilst Biggar is sitting on the bench.

Halfpenny has done his cruciate. I feel Wales are going to have a very short world cup .

Yup, not looking good for the Welsh, its a shame because that was shaping up to be a hell of a group, its looking a little bit more predictable now.

Slightly less excited about the two tickets I have to see Wales games...

But I think our cover should be quite good. I do hope we don't use these injuries as excuses for poor performances though.

Wales can still make it out of the group. Just going to be more difficult now.

I am not happy about Gatland playing our best team in a friendly against Italy and not making subs. But I can say that all in Hindsight....it is a detremental blow for wales.

We still have a brilliant team, and still have passion to win. Going to Twickenham will be huge for Wales and I hope beyond hope we can upset England there, because I will not be able to live it down from my gloating uni mates for years to come. The bunch of tosspots.
