Went to start a replay of DS1 today but after playing DS3 it just looked so ugly. Even with DSfix. I'll just NG+ 3 instead.

Maybe I set up the DSfix wrong or something then. I'll have another look at it another time.

Started this tonight. Got to love pc gaming, maximum settings on everything and a locked 60fps :datass:

Only opened the first lift shortcut in the first area so far, but it's very good, loads better than DS2 already on art style alone.

Unlocking a shortcut in a dark souls game has to be one of the best feelings in gaming. The relief :toot:

I've only just started playing this, it's as hard as all hell. Got to the chapel of the deep ad thought I was getting somewhere apparently not though.

Ive just beaten the second (or is it the first proper) boss, the one in the area where you raise the banner. I'm at the area just past that, the enemies there are great for backstabbing practice. Just got a whip which seems to be a very bloodborne weapon, but as usual my +2 axe that I started with is so much more powerful that I probably won't bother with anything else :fp:

There was a summon inside a building, so I tried it and it said a host of the ember had been summoned. No idea what that means, guessing it's like a keeper of that area or something. Whoever it was made light work of a phantom that appeared just after along with a big enemy, right by a bonfire - always such a welcome sight

It's VERY bloodborne this, almost feels like a sequel to that rather than dark souls. Loving it so far though. I've ditched shields entirely from the off as I got so used to the hunter not having one, and I'm favouring the two handed attack power you get.

This is great! Just beat some big rotten tree boss. Also got to the end of the undead settlement and lit the bonfire at the start of a new area.

When they burst :datass:

Is there any better feeling in gaming than unlocking a shortcut back to a bonfire you left behind an hour or so ago?

You've just beat pretty much the crappiest boss in the game. It's all uphill from there.

I've only unlocked a couple of fires and shortcuts in Bloodborne but, yeah, I'd go along with that - it really is a rush!

Yeah, I'm not past that boss and the game seems to have really kicked up a gear. I'm in the
cathedral of the deep
. Moved forward a bit and opened some short cuts put the enemies are really killing me.

Run past the big big dude, he's too powerful to fight. There should be staircase beside him. Can't remember if there's a shortcut past that part. But the boss is somewhere near there.

Are you talking about the giant in the main hall? I ran round him and went down the stairs but there is a big knight dude with a mace who keeps killing me. Also I've been up into the roof bit where there are a ton of them.
