Can someone give me a clue on how to beat high Lord Wolnir? I've read you can just hammer his bracelets but he doesn't keep his arms still enough for me to attack him. Then his strawberry floating gas breath just kills me. I've backed up in the room as far as I can but the gas just gets me. I really need to summon an NPC but there are no call signs.

How do you summon people? I switched to online but I can't see how you do it. I've got him down to a 3rd of his health twice, but the gas combined with the spawning skeletons is just BS. Without assistance I'm clearly not going to be able to progress in the game.

I think you can avoid the gas if you stay close to his mouth to the left or right.

People will put down a summon sign (looks like a big glowing rune) on the ground. If you see one, activate it. Some summon signs will be AI and will always be in your game, others are real people.

Note you have to be kindled or whatever it's called in this game.

When does this summoning business come in to play? Not seen any mention of that as of yet.

Look for the symbols on the ground. Even offline you can summon NPCs. You need to be kindled though.

Ah cool, wasn't aware of that. In all honesty I didn't realise the ember item did anything other than give you some more health so I've not bothered using any so far!

You also get invaded when you use ember, so be careful.

You wont always get invaded tho, its just a luck of the draw thing really. I spent loads of time kindled and never gotten invaded.

Just did Deacons of the Deep on NG++. Theyre still easy but I got killed a few times because I'm still using Frieded Scythe which doesn't do a lot of damage, but it just looks so cool
I didn't realize you could summon Anri & Horace there tho. I summoned them just because it makes narrative sense as theyre hunting Aldrich, it just felt wrong not to summon them!

I always, always get invaded in the sam places, the swamps, the area just before londor, with the giants in the courtyard? strawberry floating dickheads.

This is why I've always played offline. Started right back from Demons Souls, never played online since. Other than Bloodborne, summoned some people to help me out there and also joined a few other people's games to lend them a hand. I'll probably play online in DS3 just to get past Lord banana split Chops and then go back to offline.

They changed it in DS3 so that you only really get invaded if you have other summons with you. I've played through the game about 5 or 6 times and, outside of the two areas that have invasion covenants, could probably count on one hand the amount of times I've been invaded by another player when I've just been on my own. It's strawberry floating shite if you want to do invasions with the red eye orb because nine times out of ten it puts you into a game where the other guy has two summons and it's massively unfair

Pretty blown away by the amount of detail put into the world, even when the player would never see it!

This guy's channel great, btw.

Had a few goes at the Abyss Watchers last night. Seem to be able to get to the second stage okay but not having much luck beyond that.

Think I need to learn to pick my moments to strike a bit more carefully, he has a few combos which look like they leave him quite exposed.

Let them fight amongst themselves. Or summon someone to help outside.

There is an NPC right by you can summon (this is what I did). Just done Lord Skeletor by summoning 2 players. I basically just sat at a safe distance and let them do the work. [emoji1]

Up to Merry Christmas! land. I'm not going to spoil the initial BS, but those guys with the flames. Such a long strawberry floating range, kind of home in and can also travel through walls. [emoji34]

I can deal with the group fight okay, it's when the fired-up main guy takes me on that it all goes to gooseberry fool!
