I first fought the Dancer right near the start of the game when I got summoned in outside the first boss door. She tore me a new one.

Im levelled up way past that, cant summon anyone and there are no AI signs, I can get her to half health easy. But then everything falls apart.

Finished

I picked this up again yesterday as I didn't want to start anything too big before Breath of the Wild and I've always found it easy to slip back into a Souls game. It turns out that I wasn't far from the Twin Princes and there wasn't anything between them and the final boss. There's bound to be content that I've missed but I'll look for that when I pick up the season pass and explore the new areas. I like that there's an option to delay starting NG+ even after finishing the game so that you can tie up any loose ends.

anyone still playing this?
looking at getting the DLC when the 2nd part comes out later this month; what's the current consensus on when to drop into the DLC? can you miss it on the first playthrough? character level suggestions etc.?

thanks!

I always leave the DLC as the second last thing I do before beating the final boss. You can lock yourself out of the first DLC if you accidentally kill the NPC that warps you there.

He appears next to the bonfire in the church before Cathedral of the Deep. He's crouched down praying and if you get invaded there it's probably quite easy to forget about him and attack him accidentally  strawberry float having to wait till NG+ to do the DLC.

Stand out of the way of his fire and shoot arrows at him. You can't actually kill him as such but eventually he'll fly off and that counts as defeating him.

That's pretty funny. Strangely when I bought the DLC he just wasn't appearing for me and I thought maybe there was something else I needed to do. Fortunately he did appear eventually. But yea that would suck, especially for me as I tend to just go through the games the one time. I've never done NG+ believe it or not.

A new game patch is being released on Friday afternoon that adds the capability for a frame rate increase on the PS4 Pro.

There are lots of additional updates, too. Click here to check out the full details.
