One of the covenants lets you respec your character but only a limited number of times.

Yeah Rosaria I think, became a member of that covenant, and someone else threatened to murder me :fp:

Yeah, it pisses off Sirris of the Sunless Realms who has a pretty fun side quest.

I won't make that mistake on my next run through.

Getting real pissed with this Darkmoon Blade miracle. Got every spell, every base level ring, every gesture and every pyromancy. Every miracle except that.

Given up on getting summoned on this character but these knights are a strawberry floating joke to farm. Multiple hours with boosted luck, Crystal Sage Rapier, symbol of avarice.

One proof.

Really considering rerolling a 4th character just to do low level PvP to grind out the drops. But I don't know how long that will take, either.

The Aldrich Faithful covenant that summons you as an invader after Pontiff is always fun.

And to get summoned I use the red stone to lay down my name?

Nah you just equip the covenant item in the slot and you'll be put into someone else's game automatically.

I've never been summoned and I've always had a item equipped. :(

Is there no other way of getting all the spells? I'm sure in DS2 you could buy all the covenant reward spells from the vendor in Drangleic Caste in NG+2

Auto summoning is only for Watchdogs (at low levels), Aldrich and Blue Sentinels/Darkmoons (supposedly. Darkmoon Blades are more likely just stories toldto make kids behave, like the Watchdogs, poise and Eskimos).

The other ones need white or red soapstones or red eye orbs to get summoned or invade.

Not that I've seen. I'd be up for that as I need to run NG++ to get rings anyway.

Just that you're available for summoning. It will stop if you enter a boss room or something.

However as a Darkmoon you'll be waiting a while. I've been summoned twice for it in a total of about 60 hours because it's bullshit. Granted it's probably focused on low levels, but they could have implemented it MUCH better, especially since it didn't work in DaSII ever.

Yeah Ive read plenty of message boards saying the same thing.

Those purple spirits are strawberry floating mental. There was 5 of us fighting it out, felt sorry for the host poor lad, ended up 3 v 1 in the end.

Im up to lothric castle, Ive got 2 dragons on a wall :dread: Another 2nd, mini boss dragon waiting in arch dragon peak..and the repeat of the first boss in the untended graves.

Bosses..bosses everywhere. Good news Ive maxed out the astora greatsword, she's a thing of beauty.

I've put a bit of time into this after getting sidetracked soon after it came out and I'm making my way through the Undead Settlement.

The Steam controller seems to be working now, after not being recognised at launch, and it's easily the best way to play the game, once you get used to it. I got up to and beat Vordt with the controller and it's great because you can do everything without moving your thumbs from the analog stick and right trackpad. B and X are mapped to the grip buttons while A, Y and the D-pad can be accessed by pressing down on various parts of the right trackpad.

I spend most of my time playing 3DS games these days, as I can easily pick it up during the day and continue in the evenings, but I'm going to try to put more time into this as well.

I'm so used to Souls games that using my index finger for the face buttons on a controller is second nature, but I can totally see how that can be a benefit.

Absolutely agree on the Steam Controller once you've set it up properly. IMO one needs to enable a clicky D-pad, tweak how the 'soft trigger' works for heavy attacks, and I'm a bit clumsy so I swapped the grips around (better to roll accidentally than Estus), etc. Took me maybe an hour of pissing around to get it how I like it, but afterwards it's the first game where the Steam Controller really shone for me.

What do you use the clicky D-pad to do and how have you set up the soft triggers?

There's no denying that the Steam controller requires a bit of time to set up and learn but, once you've done so, you'll see why it's the future of Comfy Couch™ gaming. I loved using it in Disney Infinity and it's working wonderfully well with Dark Souls 3. So many games, so little time!

As for the game itself, how are PC players finding performance? My frame rate is dropping to 40 with the visuals set to high and the game running on a 970. I was hoping that it would stay at 60FPS for the vast majority of the time but it drops far more often than I like.

So I've got the astora great sword maxed out, but its still slow as strawberry float to swing. Its a bit late in the day but are there any categories i can put my souls into to help my character swing faster?

Im thinking of re mapping my stats tbh. Still with the warrior class, but a little more in stamina instead of FP

Nah, weapon speed is dependent on weapon class, not stats. Only thing I can suggest is to go for a Greatsword rather than an Ultra Greatsword. But you're losing a bit of damage (usually, don't know the details for maxxed Astora) and the charge weapon art, most likely for stance.

If you haven't already spent it on the spear, the soul you get from the Greatwood gives the Hollowslayer Greatsword which is pretty similar stat and scaling wise from the looks of it and served me well enough for my first run.
