He's a good enough distraction which should be enough.

Really? Is he decent? Or will he die instantly like my ally fighting Yorm, he walked up to him and was dead in seconds :slol:

Should've helped Siegward as he basically kills Yhorm for you.

I did. He came in with me.

And died pretty much instantly.

What the hell? It was my understanding that he wins the fight for you... he certainly did for me at least.

Nah. I killed Yhorm myself. He was pretty much useless. Id wondered where he had gone tbh

Despite having a gutsful of the game and being utterly convinced that I was never going to beat Prince Lothric, I went back to it last night for one last go...and I beat him! (Okay, it was after 5 more goes...). Sucks to be shoved straight into another boss battle straight away though - would have appreciated a bit of a breather to explore a bit more. Still, definitely NOT done with this game and looking forward to farming a few souls and levelling up a bit more over the weekend.

Any tips for Aldrich? Just can't seem to beat the mummy strawberry float. There's hardly ever any summon signs at his bonfire either.

Get in close so he doesn't use his giant beam attack.
Get behind him so he doesn't use his swipes.
When he raises his staff back off because it's a pulse AoE that he'll run into. You can roll towards his tail for a few extra hits as he tunnels. Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure he pops up diagonally opposite to where he entered.

When he sends out homing spells just keep moving. Any that do hit you will do minor damage, they're only a problem en masse.

When he shoots the arrows they'll track for a while, but not the entire run. More noticeable in the second phase. Run away from him then do a big loop back to him. If it's big enough they'll stop tracking by the time you get back.

His heat-up mechanic is pretty much just him doing things twice in a row so if you learn what you're doing it's not too bad.

And, as always, git gud.

Anyone able to give us a hand around Lothric and Lorian yet? Havent touched it for a few weeks due to me getting instantly pissed off when I try to kill him

I had to leave him and go and get Yhorm the Giant instead.

Another one bites the dust :toot:

I actually found Pontiff more frustrating as Aldrich just required more patience on my part, once I worked out how to avoid his attacks. The worst was the raining arrows in his fire form because they last a while and he tends to launch powerful beams of magic which decimate my character if I don't roll in time. He certainly earned his place in that room :P

I'd love to engage in Jolly Co-operation but I'm playing the PC version. Is online play now cross platform?

Keep trying with the summons! Used to take me a good few attempts (even placing new signs down) to get players to join. Are you part of a covenant? I was with the Warriors of Sunlight and so would often get signs popping up for me. (Clicking on them in time was another matter  :x )
