Yep, the project reveals were absolutely first class. I also thoroughly enjoyed pretty much everything to do with learning about the past, though some of the text datapoints in the overworld did feel rather too... mundane.

Finally got round to picking up the Frozen Wilds DLC, never did finish this but I plan to restart this in the New Year and go through the main game/DLC together

10m+ copies sold

https://blog.us.playstation.com/2019/02 ... worldwide/

And yet, here we are, already well over 10 million copies sold worldwide; the idea that we were able to bring Aloy’s journey to so many players is astounding. We’ve been deeply moved by the enormous amount of fan creations you’ve posted online, as well as the heartfelt letters you’ve sent sharing your favorite moments from Aloy’s journey.

We expect to see the game on both Steam and the Epic Games Store when it launches (although that may not be finalized yet).

This will look great on monster rigs.

Actually bought a copy of HZD for my youngest today as a present for her first sleep over at my new home this weekend (got her sister a Sims gift card).

WTF?!?!?!?! *cancels PS5 pre-order*

But seriously, I wonder why only HZD? Is it because it's a newer IP and not seen as a jewel of the PS crown, a la Uncharted and God of War? Hmmm. But yes, this is a great move.

The Russian youtuber who originally leaked this said -

I'm talking to different developers who are making something for the PlayStation 5, and they said to me that Sony warns them "keep the PC version in mind"

Maybe a lot more to come.

Horizon: Zero Dawn will launch on PC this Summer, PlayStation has confirmed.

The news comes via PlayStation's Worldwide Studios President Hermen Hulst speaking in an interview with the PlayStation Blog.

Hulst doesn't rule out more first-party games coming to PC, but says there are no plans to release PC versions of PlayStation games at the same time as their console counterparts. Horizon: Zero Dawn launched on PS4 in March 2017.

Wheyy

Been curious about this for a while, so happy at it and potentially other Sony exclusives coming to PC down the line. Though obviously expectations in check, seems pretty clear that we're not getting day and date releases with the console versions and such

The stupid thing is, the more people buying, playing and enjoying your favourite games is only a good thing for you. It means more sequels ultimately. With higher budgets.

Just ask us F-Zero fans :(

Some people are such morons. Saddest thing is that sort of salty response is in no way surprising these days. :fp:

It was one of the few exclusives that made me eventually pick up a PS4 (even though I still haven't actually played it yet!) but I'm not about to lose my gooseberry fool because it is now going to be available on PC as well. I willl probably end up getting on PC now though!

I genuinely don't understand why a game being released on Steam would reduce anyone to tears.

Because some people are so firmly in a Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo/PC/whatever camp that they can't bear the thought of somebody else being able to enjoy their game.

Also they can't hack the thought of it being a better version of it.

BUT BUT MY PS4 SAYS PRO SO THAT MEANS I'M PROFESSIONAL GAMER

I played the prologue/opening chapter some time ago and the story set up was masterfully done, it definitely had DNA from at least one other Sony story-driven games. The graphics looked great on my launch PS4 but I didn't play much more, so I can't wait to try this on PS4 Pro some day. I can't even imagine how crisp this will look in true 4k, and if mods are possible 8k!

The items are laid out carefully on the floor to look messy but I don't see anything of value broken and the sniffing sounds like Hollyoaks calibre acting! Secondly the twitter account says its a parody account. Is this one of those internet memes where you have to go along with the joke?

No idea, I didn't watch it. Parody or not, sad banana splits like that do exist...

So games being ported to PC is bad now?
Have these people not noticed its been happening for the last 20 years?
