Capcom has announced that Resident Evil: Revelations will initially launch in early 2015 as a series of downloadable episodes, with a new chapter to be made available for the game each week. Consisting of four episodes, Revelations 2 will also be available as a 'Complete Season', enabling you to download the chapters as they launch each week.
Once the final episode has launched, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be available on disc at retail, with additional game content. The same additional content will be available with the Complete Season download, although what this content is has yet to be revealed. Each of Revelations 2's four episodes will end on a cliffhanger, says Capcom.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 tells the story of Claire Redfield as she makes a return to the horrors that haunt her past. Claire now finds herself working anti-bioterrorism organisation, Terra Save with new recruit Moira Burton, who also happens to be Barry Burton's daughter. It's at Moira's Terra Save welcome party that it all kicks off as unknown armed forces storm the office. Claire and Moira must work together to find the truth, when they're knocked unconscious and wake up on a remote island.
Here's how Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will break down when it launches next year:

Weekly Episodic download 4 individual episodes - $5.99 per episode
Complete Season All 4 individual episodes plus additional game content - $24.99
