It speaks wonders of the core mechanics that the padding didn't bother me as much as it usually does in games, especially in action ones.

Though it may help that the dice was easily manipulated on those bizarre board game bits, at least on the special edition

I only played a little bit of DMC 4 and DmC, but I enjoyed the action and loved the styling of them. I think I prefer the presentation of DMC to that of Bayonetta; which is high praise for both, I guess.

DMC3 is the last one I properly played, I tried 4 but that was round about the time when I was finding it almost impossible to use a standard gamepad and I promptly abandoned it.

Absolutely loved the first and third games though, the combat system made me feel like a badass, which sadly rarely happens with most of the games I can actually play nowadays..

I didn't finish it because of the backtracking and how incredibly long it took to unlock all of the abilities/moves

Rewatching the trailer and I can't believe how much Nero looks like DmC Dante. Even his animations scream DmC to me. Think I'm gonna have to replay DmC really soon, it really is the best one.

That theme tune is so amazing.

I might be the only person who thinks this but I really don't like gruff, old Dante. Nero is much more entertaining.

Nice trailer. Lady looks great again. I admit I'm not a fan of the more aged looks of Dante but it's not offputting for me.

Eh, DMC4 got microtransactions added in the special edition, and didn't ruin the balance to push for them. Itsuno seems to be really working to make this game good so I doubt it'll be a bullshit pride and accomplishment grind.

Capcpom have a lot of goodwill built up for this game, I can't see them squandering it on microtransactions.

Regarding the microtransactions.

Looks like you can grab a new attack or two after every stage at average play right now. So unless it gets changed too much they're just there to basically NG+ it out the gate.

Does Jim ever stop strawberry floating whinging? Hmm, I suppose it is his livelihood so I guess the next question is 'does he actually believe half the overreactive bollocks he whinges about?'

Still don't get why you need Micro transactions in a game like DMC?
