Believe me, the games I finish are a tiny, tiny subset of the games I start. Going through Uncharted again is gaming comfort food. Like putting on an old episode of Friends or something. Sometimes it's nice to forget about doing new things all the time and revisit something you enjoyed before.

Funnily enough, I think Uncharted 2 was the last game I ever completed in one sitting on release. I'd never have the time to so something like that nowadays but I don't think I'd even want to anymore. I much prefer to have multiple games on the go to keep each one feeling fresher for longer.

Having played the PS3 Version a few moths ago, those parts aren't that bad. There's only really one difficulty spike, in a courtyard with a few of those enemies.

The final boss is still crap, and the tank part is annoying, but apart from that, the game felt a lot more forgiving than Drake's Fortune. I died quite a lot on that, as combat felt unnecessarily harsh, with the cheaper enemies and slightly shonky aiming.

I think my copy has arrived! :D Can you play crushing difficulty immediately on the collection? I know you have to unblock brutal but I finished the PS3 games on crushing already.

Finished the first one, on Normal difficulty.

I didn't die a lot on the final boss encounter... So it may be toned down or something.

Now I'm moved on to the second one and placed it on Crushing difficulty.

Well put. Yeah, I'm using Uncharted as a nice break between MGSV and Super Meat Boy.

For sick kid save point I aimed to complete all 3 in 24 hours.

I managed to complete 1 and 2 and half of 3.

So all of 3 then since it's only half a game.

Just wrapped up Among Thieves.

Everything up to and including Convoy was gold, and everything afterwards was trash. Part of the reason I haven't replayed this as much as the first game is just through dreading going through those last chapters.

Having completed the original Drake's Fortune game on Crushing (my first Platinum) I've been playing doing the same with the remaster. Some levels it is relentless enemies and non-stop death until you learn the patterns of attack. When not frustrating me I am actually enjoying it and it allows me to spend more time in the game world. But after I get the plat I think I will just play U2 and U3 on normal until a less game crowded season.

I know Uncharted: Drake's Fortune when compared to U2 has less of that all round bombast, but playing it again I still think it is a fantastic more intimate adventure. And those jungles look so good. And I keep taking pictures!

I love unlocking cheats that can't be enabled in this level.

Even when there are guns in the level, you still can't use them weapon cheats.

Because if you deselect a weapon by switching to another one then switch back will replenish the ammo.

Got given this this morning

Started the first game on hard, looks so nice in the jungle. Just got to the U boat bit, classic scenes.

Just got to the submarine base so I'm not far from the end now. Starting to think I should have played on crushing as hard isn't as hard as I remember... I've died far more from drake falling during jumps than by enemy fire.

I started with UC2 at the weekend (skipped the first). It looks incredible.

It's a bit glitchy mind and some of the movement mechanics aren't great.

Bit torn between buying this or The Last of Us : Remastered.

Ive heard about the last of us being really frustrating (difficulty wise) but from the last pages it seems like this is up there with it.

I tend to avoid games in which I die all the time.... unless it has a good saving system that can spare me from replaying loads of the same patches.

Are the stories of the 3 different games connected?

All the uncharted stories follow on with repeat characters etc. They've added a super easy difficulty to the games so you should be able to breeze through them if you're not up for a tough time.

Last of Us and Uncharted 2 are arguably the best two games of the last generation and are must plays.

Get Last of Us pre-owned then get Uncharted when it's cheaper.
