Aye fair point. I don't like any of them, but Salmond in particular makes me feel ill every time I see him.

Brilliant stuff!

Never really got into the Ryder Cup or golf that much, but watched a fair bit this weekend. What. A. Comeback.

Proud of all the lads.

Oh and strawberry float you, USA.

Me too. Couldn't give much of a gooseberry fool about golf. I'll watch the highlights for a good crow tonight though. #HaHaNelson

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Someone got him a Flava Flav-style clock necklace to commemorate his timekeeping skills.

http://espn.go.com/golf/rydercup12/stor ... -locked-us

Team Europe can still win if the following five things happen Sunday:

-- Keegan Bradley is abducted.
-- Team USA captain Davis Love III inserts Cup spectators Michael Jordan, President George W. Bush, Amy Mickelson and the Rev. Jesse Jackson into the singles lineup.
-- Lee Westwood: U.S. citizen.
-- Marty McFly shows Team Europe captain Jose Maria Olazabal how to go back in time. Last Friday morning will do.
-- Team Europe wins eight of the remaining 12 matches to retain the cup.
Never mind. It's over. Olazabal can click off the walkie-talkie and take the IFB out of his ear. Time for the Europeans to fire up the private jets and head back home to Florida.

Any golfing experts here know why Ricky fowler wasn't in the American team?

He didn't make the automatic spots obviously, patchy form, missed the PGA cut just before the picks. Love went for experience in people like Stricker and Furyk. Dustin Johnson was a great pick and obviously Snedeker was going to make it. Stricker ending up with 0 points was a disaster though.

Never grandstand till the game is won. That's the best and worst thing about the American mindset - that arrogance and cockiness.

So awesome to do that to them. The fans, i mean. The players were incredibly sporting and showed good grace in defeat. Those 'USA' chanting twats - have it!
