Just got banned from NeoGAF for asking why they hadn't bothered putting up a tribute logo, while they've had a logo celebrating some backwater colony catching up with the rest of the civilised world for weeks.

You dared speak out against the regime and they didn't like it so you got banned? I, for one, am shocked.

Isn't NeoGAF US-based? If so, perhaps it was your description of the United States as a 'backwater colony' that got you into trouble

EvilLore posted yesterday that their graphic design team are working on something. I don't know how you worded your post, but you know how strict they can be I'm sure.

Yeah they probably viewed it as racist or something.

"Graphic design team". GRcade

Well it's just one of the in-game sprites, but I like to think it is

The funny thing about this is that gay marriage is legally recognised in every part of the USA, while it isn't in the UK.

Anyway, Iwata. I could live to 100 and not have had half the life he had. He was really living the dream.

Haven't played this yet - too busy. But will download and have a go tonight. No idea what it it - some kind of tribute game from simogo studio.

One of these events is quite significantly more important than the other.

NeoGAF is a nexus of hardcore gamers, enthusiast press, and video game industry developers and publishers.

Priorities.

NeoGAF - "We are central to the industry." :dread:
Iwata - "I am a gamer."

If you guys are seriously saying that the death of a CEO, no matter how important to this industry, is a more significant and important event than the legalization of gay marriage, then I worry.

Less than 2% of the population of the US is gay. A signficant proportion of those who ARE may not even want to get married, or even have a civil union. Now, the US has a lot of people, and that's a pretty significant number of people, I grant, and it's wonderful that they now have the freedom to get married.

On the other hand, Iwata invented Kirby and Super Smash Brothers.

How hard is it to change a logo for a day? I don't think it's asking alot.

We do it all the time here.

Sky is blue, fire is hot.

Sad news though, I don't have as much of a history with Nintendo as a lot of others but I always enjoyed Iwata in the Directs and everything. Some of the stories I've read over the last couple of days about him are pretty amazing. Earthbound has shot up in my backlog list and shall be played sooner rather than later. RIP.
