I mean, you could be fine with a delay, but saying "good" makes you sound relieved that it's not coming out for over a year. It's also strange to have exclusivity being a factor in how many games you can handle in a given calendar year.

I said BEFORE THIS WAS ANNOUNCED AS DELAYED that I wanted at least 2 games slated for this year to be delayed as I can't afford to buy all of them/have time to.

It's pretty stacked as is, not including exclusives not announced yet its a more than a game every 2 months:

Gears of War 4 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer Beta in Spring 2016/Launch in Fall 2016
Quantum Break (Xbox One) – April 5, 2016
Halo Wars 2 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Fall 2016
Crackdown 3 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer in Summer 2016
Fable Legends Open Beta (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016
ReCore (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016
Sea of Thieves (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016

Add in Backwards compat and I'm more than happy that its delayed, in fact, throw another over to 2017 for that matter.

EDIT From the 2016 video game release date guide thread:

Randolph & Mortimer wrote:Not much for me in first few months, possibly banner Saga. Deffo getting Quantum Break since they rebooted the dire first showing.

I'd have gotten The Division but I think Ark may have stolen it's thunder for online gaming. If it reviews well I'll see...

Kinda Hope MS don't stack everything into last quarter again, nightmare to have HaloWars 2, Scalebound, Recore, Crackdown 3 and Gears of War 4 (possibly Forza Horizon 3) making my wallet cry.

Hope one or two of them get pushed back/brought forward.

I don't know how to feel. On one hand it's a delay on a game I want. On the other I'd be buying a ln Xbone pretty much just for this and there's not much else going for it right now so this will probably wind up cheaper and give them more chance to get some better exclusive content.

Eh, I have enough to play until 2017.

I would like to see more on this game. I think Platinum Games having a sizeable budget is a pretty exciting prospect. A lot of their output has been pretty good despite obviously lacking in capital and development time (Transformers, Metal Gear Rising. Bayonetta 2 to some extent).

this game must be in a very bad way to delay it 14+ months.

Oh please please please make Halo Wars 2 the game that makes me get into Surface gaming. Would love a quality touch screen RTS.

I think this looked better than FF XV at least demo wise. I'll no doubt love both tho.

I'm just glad that Microsoft talked me out of getting an Xbox. This was the game I was going to get one for but I'll be upgrading my PC soon so I guess I'm in the clear.

I was getting Scalebound regardless and was upgrading my PC regardless as it's just being a string of problems recently.

This just saves me £250. Thanks, MS!

Was really looking forward to this by early stuff. E3 in game stuff was shocking though, clunky and looks almost last gen. Disappointing.

Scalebound, the much-hyped Platinum-developed action game that was previously scheduled for Xbox One and PC, is in trouble and may be cancelled, according to several sources.

We expect the official announcement shortly. When reached by Kotaku today, Microsoft sent over a brief statement: “We’ll have more to share on ‘Scalebound’ soon.”

We hadn’t heard or seen anything of Scalebound in recent months, and it was curiously missing from an Xbox Wire post last week that talked about the future of Xbox One. Microsoft has also removed the official Scalebound page from the Xbox website.

I don't get cancelling games, just finish it scaled down and put it on the store for a tenner.

:o Wow, didn't see this coming. Really not good for Microsoft, they are lacking genuine good new exclusives as it is.

MS probably got pissed off once they found out that Nier: Automata was arriving on PS4 shortly and realised that's why Scalebound has been in development for so long. dev working on other game.

Platinum taking on too many projects perhaps? Or Kamiya needed to free himself up to make Bayonetta 3 for Nintendo Switch.......
