There's negative and there's just blatant trolling, massive difference in constructive criticism and what happened in this thread, if you can't see that then I'm at a loss.

Couldn't care less about Gears any more, racing games bore me so I have zero interest in Forza, Halo 5 was shite, Sunset Overdrive was meh. I really enjoyed Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall but in terms of exclusives it's easily the worst console I've ever owned, the only thing it has going for it that I'm interested in is the backwards compatability.

Ditto for me and a PS3/PS4 but I don't post in those threads about it.

Didn't know you had a PS3 and PS4.

Not wasting money just to troll Sony threads like you man.

I own an Xbox One, so I'll say what I like about the games I've played and the experience I've had with it. If negative opinions about your format of choice bother you that much then seek help.

I get annoyed at MS topics being run into the ground & derailed, I couldn't give a left bollock what people say about a multi billionaire company.

It comes with the territory, Microsoft have done a lot of shitty things since this generation started, there's bound to be backlash and ridicule.

The fact that you lash out at people for criticising every time only makes it worse.

Maybe they could just buy another exclusive like they did with Rise of the Tomb Raider. That worked out well.

I know Ive said this before but I think Microsofts first party output has been relatively weak largely because of a lack of investment during Mattricks time in charge of the division. Multiple high quality studios and IPs were available for MS to pick up easily during his reign but all those opportunities were wasted. With that being said he has been gone three years now and while MS have done a solid job putting the Xbox brand back on course (and trying to re-establish a place for MS in the PC games market*) its about time that Spencer and co start delivering new experiences and worlds. Their lineup for 2017 looks solid but they need something to excite non Xbox fans.

*The Windows store is still a mess but 2016 was the best set of MS published games on PC in years.

Only game I can think of coming to the bone that I have interest in is Crackdown 3, as Crackdown was awesome and I'm hoping 3 will follow suite. Shame as the 360 was by far my console of choice last gen.

But what about Halo 15 or Gears 7 or Forza 9 or Dead Rising 6?

All due respect to Microsoft, but all they do for the most part is milk the same old gooseberry fool. Or wait for other companies to do something cool and copy them. It's why they're losing to Sony right now.

They do seem to have a problem with maintaining a strong stable of developers. Quite a few instances now of studios closing, games being cancelled and IPs going to waste. And the net result of that is a weaker lineup. They need to be making smarter decisions.

I wanted Crackdown single player and co-op for this new one. the way MS is going it will be mostly online multiplayer and I'll be out.

say 2 years to allow P3 to settle himself in. that could mean a few new IP this year at E3 revealed giving the time it takes to make said new IP.

Everything seems to be pointing to Games As A Service as Microsoft's direction right now.

They're certainly better positioned to do it than Sony and Nintendo, and Microsoft's angle has always been online.

Hopefully they pull Crackdown 3 off because, conceptually, it looks amazing.

Rumours that MS is working on a Scalebound project or indeed the game that was broken.

At the very least Microsoft extended the IP's trademark on a couple of weeks ago:

Of course they're going to keep the trademark; they can squat on it forever to stop anyone else doing anything with it.

Is that how it works? So do MS have to keep updating Gears of War and Halo IP Trademarks?

Yes.

And Microsoft can afford it and any legal defence.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."
