To be fair it did look a bit naff.

I liked look of it, or at least the premise, always ran pretty ropey though, the engine was apparently giving platinum major headaches.

I've been thinking about doing this for a while. I barely use the thing.

Add me to that list, I hardly play my XBO and I do regret buying it at launch

You were similarly embarrassing in the thread about Lionhead closing.

Do grow up.

Interesting points on Twitter with regards to Microsoft's direction

Daniel Ahmad ‏@ZhugeEX
My take on all this, and I've been seeing this for a while, is that Microsoft is transitioning all their games to the 'live service' model.

Daniel Ahmad ‏@ZhugeEX
Basically Microsoft want to have their games emulate what Minecraft has been able to do.
Long lifecycle, large user base, Increased spend.

Microsoft's strength has always been online gaming, though this doesn't explain Fable Legends.

Looked like the kind of game that would have given some much needed variety to the Xbox One lineup. Halo, Gears and Forza are all great but the lack of variety was one of the main reasons I got rid of my Xbox One last year and was one of my major issues with the 360 too.

Perhaps it will be picked up by someone else if they can acquire the license from Microsoft.

Phantom Dust got changed to remaster and is supposed to be out on PC and Xbox this year.

Disappointing to see Scalebound cancelled but if it wasn't coming together after (at least) three years in development then I can understand why the plug was pulled. Game was unveiled far too early.

Can't see how Phil can sugar coat this unless Scorpio is launching with something big.

I hope they reveal the Scorpio BEFORE E3, it would make me feel slightly better about what may be announced, if not then half of MS' E3 will be about the hardware.

If Crackdown 3 isn't shown at this years E3 it's gone, wouldn't suprise me if it's cancelled a month before E3.

I was looking forward to a new Crackdown but after this I also wouldn't be surprised if it gets canned.

I just hope MS don't roll out Halo 6 at E3 as the saviour, they really need some variety to there line up.

Hope they don't cancel Crackdown 3, with all the cloud stuff it sounds like the very definition of what Microsoft's vision for Xbox One is.

Crackdown 3 had better come out as I'm still waiting for MS to prove all their cloud talk wasn't PR BS.

Yes?

Seems to be the form that any game that has had delays on X1 get canned. The flip side is that MS have form for announcing games/updates that release that same year, TMC collection, Forza Horizon 3, Dead Rising 4, back compat, preview program so I hope HOPE they have something decent to announce that isn't Halo 6 (tho I think Halo 5 is amazing online)

Me: Oh boy, can't wait to buy this new Platinum game on a shiny new Xbox One!

Paul Marketing: Don't worry little Metling, for you need not purchase our fine console to play this game. We are releasing it on PC, too!

Me: Gee whizz, Mr Microsoft. You sure did do me a solid on that!

Paul: Actually, we don't want your money AT ALL and have just cancelled the only Ms game you're looking forward to! Please come again!

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't unveil Scorpio in full until Autumn and closer to the next big update to Windows 10. If Scorpio is going to be the same games but in 4K they can make that point at E3 without having to go too deep into the hardware side of things. Unveiling Scorpio too soon would only harm sales of the current hardware unless they cut the price a lot.

I guess you're right, still would like to see what it's going to look like though. Have a feeling MS have something up there sleeve, axing an exclusive isn't an easy decision to make, I think they have something to buffer it, just hope it's not a Halo 6 as I said, I'd welcome the game but many will be jaded.

I think a Halo MMO is coming, I know the rumoured one turned into Destiny but 343 have enough ex Bungie guys to do something as big if not bigger. A Destiny Esque shooter with bigger worlds and fighting the Covenant would be great in theory, that or a Halo RPG.
