I'd guess that it might take off more once the new player influx has died down and only people who actually really like it remain

Caved in a got it at the weekend as I received some discount vouchers from Tesco. So I only payed £35.

And my impressions after playing it mostly all weekend is really positive, I didn't like 4 but loved Primal so I was kinda worried starting this, but Ubi did a great job here. I like how the Mini-Map has been gone as you can really see how beautiful the game is. Also great is now you have to discover locations instead of just going to it, which is rather refreshing.
Game play wise it's same old Far Cry but with a few new whistles, this formula still works well but Far Cry 6 will have to change things up drastically or we may see the same thing that happened with the AC franchise.

Haven't tried Arcade yet as you need PS Plus to play it, and I need to update my subscription

Which system :P

There's an achievement. I know there's some perk points (presumably you have to be the host to get them?)

Edit - Oh no. Perks do carry over from co-op

PS4.

There's a challenge for 60 mins on coop and I think the achievement is to complete 3 missions.

Out of curiosity, what's the split between PC/PS4/Xbox on this?

I picked up the Xbox version and I've only seen two other people on my list playing it. Not that I want to play it online at all, but just curious.

Is this lonely feeling what it's like to be an Xbox One owner of a multiplatform game? :(

I have it on X1X; I still tend to buy most mutli-platform games on it, to be honest.

I started the game again last night (after the 'Death Loop' seemed inescapable), and actually I'm probably enjoying myself more this time around having gone in a completely different direction to last time. So, annoyance aside, it's turned out positively enough. Will be fummin if it happens again, mind.

Got Peaches last night, too 8-)

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Nice. Sucks you had to restart, but at least your still enjoying it.

I've slowed down on it a bit over the last few days. Just ramping up to finish the first region before I move on. Not sure whether to go North or West next.

It is really strawberry floating annoying when you're trying to talk to a plot NPC and they suddenly go to "In Conflict" because a plane has come within a mile of you. I basically have to reload a checkpoint in order to talk to them since I don't have an RPG or anything to take down the plane and it just keeps circling eternally keeping the NPC in a conflict state.

Anyone up for hooking up tomorrow night for the co-op quest trophy? The Mrs is out and once I get the kids asleep I'm free to go PlayStation crazy. From 8pm onwards.
Edit: PM me.

High-seas version has surfaced so downloaded to give it a try on my PC and see how it runs. Surprised it runs better than 4 for me. Only went through the opening section until you meet Dutch but I really enjoyed it. That's it for me as I have the whole of 4 to play as I got the Gold edition cheap in a Uplay sale so I'm sure by the time I get round to playing that and finishing it 5 should be buttons :toot:

I bought this yesterday.

Very much enjoying it so far, it's my first far cry (outside of playing at friends) so all feels fresh.

I do feel like the perks system is locking me out of things it would have been more fun to start with, which I think is a complaint I've seen around, but hopefully the further I get the more I unlock and it stops being an issue.

I've not really bothered too much with the perks.

The only ones I went out of my way for were the weapon holster upgrades so I could carry a couple more guns.

I pretty much just run around with my machine pistol, LMG, Rocket Launcher and Sniper-rifle now. Guns for all occasions!

I've slowed right down though and I've only just moved onto my second region. Looking to hammer some more of this over the next few days.

I got the extra weapon holster first so I can carry a bow and a shooty bang weapon, but then I've also got the chain takedown perk which feels like it should have just been the default melee, and the parachute/wingsuit seem like they should be available from the start too. My only death so far is from pressing the wrong button in a plane (I was trying to decelerate) and falling out, with no way of recovering.

From remembering my quick look through, the repair torch and lockpicking sound like they unlock entirely new actions too (I already have the grapple hook).

Just a few trophies to mop up.
