Far Cry 5 will now launch on March 27 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X and PC while The Crew 2 will now launch in the first half of our next fiscal year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC.

For Far Cry 5, the extra time will allow the team at Ubisoft Montreal to make some additional improvements that will bring the best, most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team’s original vision. We’re excited for fans to join the Resistance in Hope County, Montana against the Project at Eden’s Gate cult. Tune in to the Ubiblog tomorrow, December 8th at 10pm PST to get the newest look at Far Cry 5.

Either frantically removing lootboxes or preparing all of the apologies, rollbacks and damage control ahead of time.

I'm still interested to play it as I loved part 4, though primal was a huge misstep.

Hopefully it's actually interesting and not just chasing headlines.

Wish my image sig would work

Certainly does look good.

I haven't played a Far Cry game since the one where you have Malaria.. 2?
But that was bullshit.. the Malaria aspect killed it for me.

Will pick this one up though, looks cool :)

PostRe: Far Cry 5 - 27/03 - Ditching towers *and* mini-map! PC specs and system requirements revealed
by Saint of Killers » Tue Jan 23, 2018 7:31 am

As the release of Far Cry 5 draws ever closer, the development team has offered a glimpse into the inner workings of the PC version of the game. From PC-specific features to the minimum and recommended requirements, the info below will help you get prepared to unleash righteous havoc on the Project at Eden’s Gate.

“PC has always been a key element of Far Cry’s DNA, and this couldn’t be truer with Far Cry 5,” says Kirill Bragin, PC Version Producer on Far Cry 5. In order to help ensure PC players have the best experience possible, the Benchmark feature and video memory usage meter will help you analyze your system and calibrate the myriad visual options, including variant aspect ratio support, FOV adjustment, optional FPS locking, and resolution scaling. But players won’t need to dive into the calibration menus if they don’t feel like it, says Bragin, because “the game will auto-detect the user’s hardware and will set the matching quality preset and resolution.” Furthermore, Far Cry 5 will support multi-GPU functionality, allowing players to significantly improve performance.

“This is just a sneak peek at some of the features we are excited about for the PC version,” says Bragin. Check below for the minimum and recommended system requirements.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the marketing for this is absolutely horrific? There’s a live action trailer doing the rounds, then that, then any other cringe rubbish.

Ignored the live action (baptism?) trailer and pretty much all the gameplay ones after the first batch of gameplay reveals.

The last good live action trailer I saw:

The marketing has indeed been pretty dire. Then again, I've had almost zero interest since reports started coming out it was pretty much more of the same and that, despite the setting, it looked to be doing nothing interesting with its depiction of religion or the US.

I love Far Cry games (bar 2 and Primal, they’re garbage and whoever says otherwise is wrong) but this campaign is genuinely putting me off. Set a tone! Set a mood! Give me a theme, Ubisoft. A load of try-hard bromie ‘woo hoo, explosions!’ guff.
