So, I hooked my GameCube up to a HD Ready tv and it looks crappy! I've seen those scart to HDMI converters on Amazon and. Wondered if anyone has tried one especially using A gamecube

While I have never used one I can't see how it would make things better, if a cable is going to make a scart image look better why can't the TVs built in upscaling just do the same?

Best option would be to hook up a PC to your TV and get dolphin, but I'm guessing that's not an option?

Don't do that. You'll see no benefit at all.

Do you have a Wii? If so get a Wii Component cable and play your GC games on that.

The few actual Gamecube component cables sell for £80+ (no idea why - I'm going to look at how difficult they would be to DIY), but the Wii cables sell for a reasonable price on e-bay.

Component is the best quality analogue cable you can get (1080i).

Might try that solution then and bust the old Wii out! Thanks for the suggestion

But it only really improves NTSC games (480p). All PAL GC games are 576i.

You can get an HDMI adapter for the Wii that improves the image a bit, but for GC games it's not really worth it.
