I haven't played for an age now and I have no desire to come back.

I'm going to be trying The Old Republic come December as well, although I doubt that will ever hook me like WoW once did.

Just had a look at my spam inbox.

It's all "Blizzard" spam.

 They can't make their minds up either! I'm either selling my account, my account has been hacked or best of all I'm being invited to a Diablo III beta. Oh for the days of genuine Rollex watches and Viagrow.

It's been about 6 months since I last played this but I decided to give it another go as it was about this time last year that I started I remember how much I enjoyed the Christmas stuff ( )

I'd wasted a 60 day card by only playing it for a couple of hours not too long ago so I decided that a bit more dedication was needed. Annual Pass activated, 6 month subscription taken out. I think that'll do!

I've played it for a good while over the past few days and I forgot how good it is. I've stuck with same character (Dwarf Hunter) and I've done some excellent quests so far (The Western Plague Lands being a particular highlight). Still a good way behind anyone else here in terms of character level, 37 and rising, but I get the feeling I'll be sticking with this for a good while yet. I better having forked out for the 6 month sub!

So good

I disagree I popped back after a long time out, and I really hate it, heroic modes might make it good, but frankly it is second only to trial of the crusader in terms of bad raid instances.

Spine of Deathwing is officially my most hated raid encounter ever. The whole instance is far too basic at a entry level the fact you can walk in on the normal modes (not even the dumbed down version) and pretty much nuke everything (in a casual guild) The 4th boss is a good encounter I'll give you that, the 5th and 6th are okay but the rest are not. Deathwing is poor, really, really poor, and for an ending to an expansion it is such a come down from the LK which was an epic encounter, or even Black Temple and Sunwell which were terrific. Oh having a cutscene at the start of an encounter especially one that can be individually skipped is the stupidest idea anyone has ever had.

Really I cannot express how disapointed I am with the instance. Well my short return is over. That is me out again, I may come back for the Pandas, I personally do not get all the hate they have generated

An hour after taking my authenticator off my account, I got an email saying mine was hacked. Didn't see it until the next day, checked out the battle.net and saw that I had a months game time on my account, went on and made a ticket, got all my stuff back and haven't gone on since.

My girlfriend's started playing regularly again now, and it's literally like the worst thing ever. Having to watch her play, while i'm trying not too play, it's real horrible to go through. Is there any help groups I can go too? I need some help to get me through this tough period of my life. :(

Have you downloaded any mods for your WoW in the past? You could have downloaded Keylogger hidden in one of them. :(

Won the mount from Deathwing. GET THE strawberry float IN!

*won it err, Thursday*

Also started back on the heroics which is nice. Got a new paladin healer into the guild since our last one quit and I'm not sure what to think of him yet. He doesn't talk too much as his English isn't very good and he's a bit cold, probably just because he's on Trial.

There's a 50% sale on expansion packs until 19th February as part of the 7th WoW Anniversary sale via the battle.net site

Link

Battle Chest is only a fiver which is a great price for anyone wanting to start out.

I went to upgrade to Lich King and it offered me a further upgrade to Cataclysm, both for £17.50.

I was looking at Lich King to maybe start a Death Knight character (when I eventually get to Level 55), are there any other benefits to getting Cataclysm? Seemed like a good price for both of them.

EDIT: Sod it, just went for them both. I'll be playing it for the next year anyway so I'm sure I'll get use out of it.

http://worldofscriptcraft.com/site/

Scriptcraft is a vanilla wow server with a simple goal – to create an accurate and functional classic warcraft environment. We are not interested in vote ladders or money making with donations, our aim is to create a server with working raids of the same difficulty and quality that we remember them in vanilla, when raiding was at its finest.
This is a place where you can enjoy a professional raiding atmosphere, where the quality of instances is put before anything else. If you miss raiding at its finest, then this is the server for you. Scriptcraft will bring you the true raiding experience with all of its difficulties and more.

I'm sold.

Right I've got a copy of this

http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=1100000362

Still in it's wrapping. What's the best course of action for selling it? Ebay? or is there a UK collectibles site that I can sell it on.

Cant buy it in the UK so thinking I can make quite a bit of money from it through one Blizzard mega-fan.

Ah, level 50 at last!

Had a great run in the Badlands and did some excellent missions (including one which involved re-living the drunken adventures of an orc, a dwarf a gnome as the battled Deathwing) that ended on a bit of a down note when I tried to do The Sorrow and the Fury and failed spectacularly each time. From looking around, it doesn't just seem to be me. Increased re-spawn rate and little help from your companions have rendered it almost un-doable. One to go back to later, I think.

I've tried giving dungeons a go again but seem to do nothing but piss folk off more than anything else. Is there an etiquette guide or anything? I'd rather not be called a 'huntard' any more (must have taken them ages to come up with that one).

Huntard has been a wow term since vanilla. It's usually because in Vanilla and TBC you could literally macro your entire rotation onto a macro and weigh the button down.

In other news, killed 4 heroics in Dragon Soul now and even did one as Boomkin! Our Boomkin has quit so I'm going to step up and learn boomkin properly so I can heal/dps.

Ah right, thanks. I really do still have loads to learn, the rest of your post made no sense to me at all :)

What's the best online resource for getting my head round everything?

Ah, there's your problem. I went back to this for a month some time last year, I think - after a several year break. Oh, I how I wished it would be like it was back on release. :(

No, WoW is now nothing more than concentrated obnoxiousness. If you aren't there purely to satisfy the cunty little banana splits that populate the games group finders then you shouldn't be there at all, as far as they're concerned.
