Sega's Ryu ga Gotoku Studio (Yakuza, Binary Domain) livestream over - Take the quick survey to tell SEGA what you think

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, or Yakuza Studio, will host a new titles presentation on August 26 from 19:00 to 20:00 JST at UDX Theater in Akihabara, Sega announced.

Sega is currently holding a lottery to give away 30 invitations to the event. To participate in the drawing, simply follow @ryugagotoku on Twitter and retweet this tweet.

While the latest works of Yakuza Studio will be announced at this event, it is currently unknown if any will be a Yakuza title. Hoover, studio boss Toshihiro Nagoshi said during today’s Sega Nama live stream that it will be a new title presentation for multiple titles, “including something expected.” It will be a focus on future trends.

So Yakuza 7 and what else? Binary Domain 2? Ishin for the West? (Though I doubt they'd deem that worthy of announcement at this event.) Yakuza on PC/other consoles?

Actually new IP is better than anything.

I would agree on both those points *if* all Yakuza was was a modern day take on the side scrolling beat 'em up and didn't offer oodles of variety, and great stories, in-between duffing up hoodlums of all types. And if Binary Domain wasn't last seen being pretty strawberry floating amazing over 5 years ago. So yeah more Yakuza and BD, please. I'll happily take those known quantities.

Expect it to be in Japanese with no official translation, and announcements to be Japan/eastern specific.

Looks amazing. (So it being remade in Y6 engine confirmed as well.)

I think it's gonna have added scenes based around Majima and maybe Haruka.
