Hey guys as some of you know I have left the gaming industry. I am at a new company called Artvps, where we make Render plugins for 3D Max and Google Sketch Up called Shaderlight.

Our latest product is a plug in for Google Sketch Up. We are currently in beta for the product and naturally want as much feedback as possible. I know some of you are very creative and even designers so would like to see what you guys think of the product.

To get access to the Shaderlight beta go here: http://artvps.com/content/download/sketchup/trial

To get the free download of Google Sketch up go here: http://sketchup.google.com/intl/en/download/gsu.html

Our forum for discussing the product is here:http://artvps.com/content/discuss please only leave sensible comments.

Hope some of you can take the time to tell us what you think and to help us improve our product.

Cheers

How much 3D modelling knowledge do you need to use Google sketchup

Edit: had a quick play around with sketchup and while it's quite easy to make simple objects like desks and TVs (very square ones at that), I doubt I have the patience or artistic ability to do much else.
