Aye, exactly - threads will be deadzones because anyone who hasn't seen the very latest episode will not want to see spoilers.

Games aren't a weekly half hour podcast though.

The only reasonable pace for this there can be is once the episodes are released then it can be discussed. Otherwise we'll be posting in spoilers forever and the thread will be a mess.

They aren't half hour they vary. The latest one is just as long or longer than shows on TV. It was about 45 minutes in length and the first was near an hour in length. All the tv shows I watch are less than that. Spoilers are posted for these shows though.

Edit: these are also weekly.

With the way information is doled out and layered on top of itself it is going to become impossible to remember when each detail you mention is from.

I don't see why a spoiler box would make any difference to anything, other than stopping people reading things they've not heard.

Every post will be a spoiler box for a minority who really shouldn't be reading deep into a thread on something like this.

Plus people will have to mark which episode they are talking about and it is hard to tell when you learnt something due to how the show is structured. That will lead to mistakes. It is much easier and safer for everyone (with this podcast) to be at release pace.

I've added everyone's opinions of the podcast (in chronological order) to the 1st post so potential new listeners won't have to delve into the thread to find out if it's any good.

I think as a general rule spoilering things from the most recent episode seems reasonable enough, but anything older than that is a bit over the top. Like Rog said, if you're only on episode 1 you shouldn't be getting this deep into a thread, it's just asking for trouble.

Just listened back to Episode 4 to remind myself of a couple of things and there's something I'm not sure has been explained. Jay claims Adnan left his cell phone and car in his possession when he went to kill Hay. Did Adnan agree that this was the case? I know he claims he went to the library but I can't recall what he said about that particular point. Seems pretty important considering the 6 calls that were made to Jay's girlfriend using that phone.

Edit: never mind, just spend the last hour and a half reading up on this on Reddit. I'm so hooked.

Episode 6 out now -

Episode 6 - The Case Against Adnan Syed (43 mins), 30th October
The physical evidence against Adnan Syed was scant - a few underwhelming fingerprints. So aside from cell records, what did the prosecutors bring to the jury, to shore up Jay's testimony? Sarah weighs all the other circumstantial evidence they had against Adnan, including curious behavior, a disconcerting note, and an unexplained mid-afternoon phone call.

Episode 6 thoughts -

Some pretty flimsy evidence for the prosecution this week. Some circumstantial and others changing their story. Not very convincing. Interesting mention of a mysterious 3rd person as were the interviews with Adnan.

Rolling Stone interview -

What’s it like working on a show where, at any second, you could stumble upon something that could shift the entire story?

That just happened to me this week, a couple of days ago, and I’m still catching my breath and not sleeping. It’s incredibly nerve-racking, and, again, this is why I say I have to be so careful all the way through. You may stumble across some piece of information where you’re just left going, “Oh my god. Okay. Okay. We’re fine.” You have no idea how seat-of-our-pants this is right now. So, it’s stressful, but the good part is I can be very responsive to new information.

Is the interview quote about info for episode 6 or 7?

No idea. It's definitely not for episode 6 though. Sarah has mentioned in previous interviews that a few new witnesses have come forward since the podcast started.

The "third person" is something that is going to be coming back up, I'd imagine in an episode. I've been doing a lot of reading on this recently and there still a couple of shady details that haven't yet been mentioned in the podcast relating to someone else possibly being involved.

Pretty much. Hope they've sorted the audio out for this one. Last time it sounded like they had a robot calling in.
