Seriously pissed off

Okay, just had a run in with the overall manager of my department. Some people are off today, and I'm expected to cover. Despite not knowing what the strawberry float is going on with their work. So he decides he's going to have a go, and put me down in front of a few people.

Unfortunately for him, my retort absolutely cuts his put down to shreds and the people round him start laughing.

So now he's started to question me on my day to day work and is sending me all sorts of emails with stuff that needs to 'actioned'. I know he's doing it to be petty.

If he tries it again, I'm handing my notice in....watch this space.

It's not like you've spent the past 4 or 5 years of your life getting paid for photoshopping people onto gay porn. I really don't see what the guy's problem is.

By all accounts his boss is a banana split.

He he keeps sending him stuff to do via e-mail he's already proven what a banana split he is because he's hiding behind e-mail.

Just e-mail him back, CC'ing his boss saying you will try to get all the work done, but because you have been tasked with so much it may take 'x' amount of time to complete.

Your arse is covered and his boss will see what a cuntbutler he is.

I personally wouldn't do that! There's no point trying to inflame the situation, if things get out of hand I think it's better to talk to the guy in question, or if really necessary somebody else - surely the emailing his superiors trick is just what you accused the boss of doing, hiding behind email!

It's also worth bearing in mind that if Sam riles his boss up enough for the guy to take a day to day look at what he's been up to, the guy could check his web history and find he has a legitimate reason to chew Sam out.

As it's my team which maintains all the servers and internet connections.
