Full optimisation for Xbox Scorpio announced also at no extra charge.

Buy digitally and you obtain Free Windows 10 copy and free enhanced Scorpio copy on its launch.

I presume lots of X1 games will have this feature.

The thing I like best about this IP is the art direction. I really like that they've adopted the look of Peter Jackson's films - I thought the character designs were great in the first game; really spot-on in terms of matching the look and feel of the Jackson films. Let's hope there is more visual goodness to come in the next game. Yep - count me in. I love this take on LotR.

Orcs: Agree 100%. Some of the big bosses looked mean as strawberry float while retaining the Jackson look.

Everything else: Not so much. Blandy McBland (player character, I want to say Turiel? Turi-something?) looked like he was specifically designed to be an empty space. Which he might have been. They've also made Sauron look decidedly less corrupt and malevolent.

Horses for courses.

I hope it's not that much harder to implement than the various graphical settings on PC games.
A PC game can look massively different on high and low end machines and yet developers somehow manage and don't grumble about it costing them a fortune to develop for different power levels so why are they now moaning just because we have a possible 4 set-ups?
Just have xbone as the base system and Scorpio is the ultra settings version with the PS systems in between I have no idea why they are trying to make it sound like we're asking for the moon on a stick by wanting higher powered versions of this gen supported.

When the actual next gen arrives and possibly changes the hardware they can moan but until then I think they're just moaning about doing anything at all.

I've no doubt 2 things will happen, first off MS themselves will deliver an update to help X1 games look better in 4K, secondly they'll send tech teams to devs to help with up scaling games. They sent tech team to bungie to get Destiny to 1080p on X1. Also its just like having a really high PC setting, so it shouldn't be a massive problem.

Up on X1 store for pre-download already (most likely just a place holder).

Pre order is up on PSN. For be version with all dlc it's....£90.

Also it mentions treasure chest, which I'm guessing is going to be like overwatch and it's loot boxes.

Warner Brothers being Warner Brothers. Wonder if they learned from last times sponsored reviews on YouTube. Bizzare practice really as they game was magnificent and didn't need any cheap tricks to get positive word of mouth.

strawberry float, that does look really good. It's hard to gauge just how much of it is PR nonsense though, and how a lot of the systems will actually work in-game. That assault, for example, had an awful lot of cutscenes where control was taken from the player. Is that normal, or has that been expanded upon here for the sake of the demo?

Still, it looks fantastic.

The regular melee combat looks so slow, clunky, and rigid. I'm hoping that's because it's alpha gameplay and not just their way of differentiating between using regular abilities and elf powers. (Which look far smoother in every way.)

I'm down for this, although i have concerns about how long it'll take to get repetitive. Also Mad Max needed the nemesis system - imagine each desert warlord having their own unique giant vehicle and stuff.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War will now launch worldwide on Oct. 10, 2017.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War expands gameplay in every dimension, including the massive open world, the story, the RPG systems, and personal player stories of the Nemesis System. As with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Monolith is committed to delivering the highest quality experience. In order to do this, we have made the difficult decision to move our launch date to ensure that Middle-earth: Shadow of War will deliver on that promise.

We understand that it might be disappointing to have to wait a little longer for the release and are sorry for the delay, but we are working hard to make an amazing game. We’re excited to show more at E3.

Good news as it means it'll be more polished. Plus the year is already crazy for Triple A games so a few extra months won't make any real difference.
