And then I went and bought it

I had 40 quid credit so I said strawberry float it and picked this up. Its absolutely stunning. Probably the best remaster I've ever seen and puts trash like the Bioshock remaster to absolute shame.

It is ridiculously good looking.

I don't think its fair to compare it to a normal remaster though, its not really a remaster when all the graphics have been completely redone. Its really a complete graphical remake overlayed on top of the original game.

I never played this originally, got my copy a couple of days ago and ooooooooh mama, it's incredible. Just downed my 5th Colossus last night, I've never played anything quite like it. Just wondering around the (pretty much) barren land, searching for the lizards/shrines/fruit etc. shouldn't be as fun as it is.

I've played The Last Guardian and thought it was fairly decent, never played ICO though. I'll definitely have to fix that if Colossus is anything to go by.

ICO is just as good imo and al three games are interlinked. Just finished the game, remembered everything.

Very impressed with the graphical upgrade. Last colossus is still fidley though. Anyone playing it for the first time, so jeaous of them. That feeling when you work out what to do especially the later ones. Shame that voice will give you hints but you can switch it off

Ico is great but there is no denying how laborious the combat is. Just spamming a button isn't what I'd call fun. Everything else about it is great though.

My favourite, personally. Own The Last Guardian but haven’t started it.
It’s only swinging a bit wood at shadows every now and again, man!

yes exactly its completely forgettable, which is its saving grace.
if it was boring AND difficult it wouldve had a negative effect on the game.

This. The combat is only a small part of the game though. Its all about the journey

The combat isn't a massive complaint, but it's certainly a valid one. It makes an almost perfect experience not quite as perfect. That Fumito guy though, the man's a genius and his visions are stunningly realised. He's the Bob Dylan of videogames.

I can't wait to see what he does next. Does anyone know what's up with him? Did he move to another developer or start up a new one?

In fact,I just looked him up. He's got another company, but all they've released so far is an image of a big hand and a small girl with a similar art style to his previous work. I don't believe it'll be another similar game with a giant helper though, even though that image would suggest it.

I've also read that he said he'd like to make a first person shooter after TLG and cited Half Life 2 as an influence. I guess we'll find out in a couple of years what he's up to.

I for one can't bloody wait.

This has to be the most beautiful game.

I was completely blowed away when I first played it on the PS2, but this is incredible.

Up to the 9th Colossus which pretty handed me my first death. Bloody horse.

Is this relatively short? Sounds like a lot of you are plotting through the bosses pretty quick

Just started this tonight, 5 Colossi down so far and this is the first time I have ever played this.

The world has a sort of haunting atmosphere to it, not really done much exploring, is there much to find in the world or is it exploration for collectibles?
