Seriously. People need to pick this up as it's strawberry floating ace. Geometry Wars ace. Well except for the complete different style of gameplay. :shifty:

If it wasn't for Fury this would be my game of the year so far. Quite a special game. The last two games I felt like this about were Rez and Riff Everyday Shooter. Gameplay, gorgeous visuals and amazing soundtrack all in one. Fantastic experience.

I wasn't expecting a story at all, but wow. Easily up there with Rez.

1up review: Image
Shatter is a bit brief, with 10 worlds you can blow through in a couple of days and two extra endurance modes, but it's enjoyable enough to justify a purchase (FYI, it's $7.99 on the PlayStation Store). It's a fine interpretation of the old brick-breaker style, and it should keep you entertained, even if it's only once or twice.

I take it you think they are being a little harsh?

Still not got round to playing it (Battlefield and Sports Resort), but I can't see it being as good as you say...I'm sure its great, but a Rez standard? No way.

I'll post again when I've played it later on.

I remember reviews for Rez back in the DC days and those not being outstanding. It's very much an acquired taste game, very much like Rez and Riff are.

Anyone not outstanding Rez review was harsh.

EDIT - Only just noticed that doesn't make any sense...thats what the thought of non-outstanding Rez reviews does to me I guess.

I remember the Edge review, brilliant (got a 9 I think).

Looks to me like its in the category of PacMan CE and SIE, though obviously not attached to any particular old franchise. If its half as good as either of those it'll be brilliant.

Definitely be playing it tonight, just got to go perfect my frisbee throw first...

I thought the 1up review was harsh. This is an A easy. Stated so in the comments too.

How big is the download? I'm getting short on space, but if it's quite small I may be tempted.
The PSN store really should tell you in the description how big the download is before you buy it. :?
