Why the hell do you guys care so much about this site?

Every time I've gone there the journalism has been no better or worse than any other website, yet it instils an odd sense of love in your hearts. :?:

It's not the website, it's the 1UP Yours and GFW podcasts along with the 1Up Show that goes along with it.

It's not the website (although I do like Jeremy Parish's retro-themed blog) but when you listen to podcasts with the same people on week in and week out for a while you do get attached to them as weird as it sounds. Some people vastly over play it admittedly, but it's still disappointing to see someone you enjoy listening to leaving.

I'm really sad him and Jeff are leaving, they've provided me with countless laughs week after week for almost 3 years. Not to mention their articles which I would go out of my way to read. I guess it's for the best though, they are both obviously going to places they really want to be and will no doubt be at for a very long time. Shawn is clearly a very very smart guy as well, he's always been destined for better things than 1up. Not to say Jeff Green's an idiot or anything.

I'm surprised there's anyone left at 1up.
