This is really the most excited I have been about a game for ages, I hope it sells really well for Sega

I suspect that fans of the original(s) will love the opportunity to re-play it, but people new to the games will probably compare them to modern stuff and perhaps find them wanting. Still, this is a nice surprise for Shenmue fans .

I suspect younger gamers won't be all that interested and will find it somewhat dated, but for us oldies this is great news.

Wonder if the save games from 1 and 2 will carry into 3.. if so might have to get it on PS4 as other wise would prefer it one the One X.. hmmmm...

Ahah man, this is reawakening so much nostalgia for these goofy ass games. They're so weird in how they're essentially extravagant vanity projects, yet still laced with sincerity and a humble aura.

I'm also trying to make my case for the dub for 1 on ResetERA being a delight, it only enhances the goofiness for me.

And yeah, I do wonder how these'll play to critics and new players...they certainly could benefit from Quality of Life features.

Sega are publishing this where as Shenmue III is part funded by Sony.

It hasn’t been ruled out that 3 isn’t coming to Xbox, it’s been left rather an open ended answer when asked. I might get them as a trilogy if that happens.

Didn't Yu say something like "Xbox owners, use your imagination" when asked about an Xbone release?

How they do that is another matter entirely as all Xbone owners lack one..
