I just hope that the game has been scaled correctly in a 16:9 aspect ratio. It looks like the cutscenes will be in 4:3 with colourful borders, which is fine. In all honestly I am just glad this is coming out and means I can replay the epic saga before the sequel arrives on the PS4 Pro (exclusively).
No doubt the controls would not have aged too well, but I just hope this gets new fans of the series.

Shame about the 30fps confirmation but it is understandable, frame rate being tied to code logic is pretty common in games from that era.

As long as theres no slowdown or pop in around crowds of people i’m happy or maybe we all need the dreamcast experience?

Wasn't expecting this to come out so soon, will definitely be getting this as i must have played through the DC originals dozens of times.

I’ve only ever played the demo of I think it was Shenmue 2 that came with the Official Xbox Magazine. I couldn’t believe how massive the demo was. From memory it was even longer than MGS2. Lasted hours.

I did own a copy of whats shenmue - an extremely rare dreamcast demo, which included the story about saving the then managing director of sega. I sold it on as my dreamcast became defunct.

Information and notes from the Q&A include:
Loading times almost “non-existent”.
Bloom effect in both games has been tweaked, and looks better than in the original releases.
High res & widescreen modes can be disabled.
Games can be downscaled to “Dreamcast” resolution.
Tank controls are “no more”. left thumb stick for control, and right thumb stick for camera control.
Clock in the upper right corner & size can be adjusted.
Reversible cover art WILL be included. (Adam corrected himself on twitter after the broadcast)
Same user interface across both games for continuity.
Save icon will be a Dreamcast icon.
Timex watch will now be a “Sega” watch.
Hitachi cassette recorder is now a “Sega” recorder.
Multiple save states & save anywhere.

Non-existent load times
Nice on improved bloom too, 2 on Xbox used it nicely during night scenes but it was off-putting during the day
