Have they said where the rest of the money is coming from yet? $6.5m is not enough to keep a studio going for two years.

The kick starter was just a litmus test pretty sure Sony are funding a large chunk of it.

I thought sony are only funding the marketing campaign?

I feel this game needs a big second reveal at e3 along with an announcement of hd remakes to be released for spring 2017.

Logically a 15 year old series with a relatively small fanbase is not going to sell well without some kind of marketing push.

Day one for me although i really need to replay those originals first as i have forgotten so much of what happened in them, particularly the first one!

Its weird, but i feel the hype inside me is dying a little even though a sequel was all that i wanted for so long!

I feel hd remakes will get me back into this and i haven't played these games in years.

If we don't get remakes will you guys just replay the prequels on the dreamcast/ xbox?

I was thinking of getting a 360 to play shenmue 2 as well as a bunch of games i missed out on before i sold it.

The dreamcasts loading times and controller are a bit of a pain. One thing yu suzuki will have go do us update the controls.

Has anyone elses enthusiasm for this died down since last june? Its the top game i wanted for ages and now its a reality i feel i maybe let down. Maybe the dream was more exciting than the reality!?

We do need those prequels remastered way before that proposed December 2017 release.

Of course, I am quite look forward to this, but it's a long way to go until 2017.
