PostShould I still return my xbox?
by Rubix » Thu Nov 05, 2009 1:55 pm

So I switched on my xbox this morning just to check if it was still red lighting and it booted up as normal and everything seems fine

Now given that I didnt want to send my HDD off to GAME's repairers and if they can't find anything wrong they charge me 15 P&P Do I (A) send it back or (B) hold on and hope it doesn't go again during Moden Warfare and maybe hold on for a 3 red light of death so Microsoft can look at it.

Hmmm I'd hold onto it for now.

You... don't send the HDD. You keep that.

They said I had to send it

It's died again.

Dear Martyn,

Thank you for your recent email. I can confirm that we would need your HDD, we do offer a back up service at a charge of £30 at which we can back up all your game save data.

Kind Regards

That's what I asked. This was the mail I sent them

I have got the packing details through Claim number ************. The problem with the console is two red lights on the left side of the ring. This as you would know is a overheating problem. On the instructions it asks me to return everything but my biggest worry is my HDD which contains all my game saves and games purchased and also more important my card details. Also it asks me to back this data up but there is no way to do this.

I'd get in touch with Microsoft and see what they say.
