Just finished this, what a wonderful little game

It's a bit short but I have put over 10 hours into it.
Wasn't to impressed with the last level/boss but loved the one before that!

One of the best Indie games this year for sure.

Really tempted by the 3DS version purely for the 3D if it's any good.

Shovel Knight will be on sale in the Nintendo eShop from around 14:00 (UK) on Thursday. Both the U and the 3DS versions will be reduced from £12.99 to £8.66 until 8 January.

I'm normally really keen on platformer games but for some reason this didn't attract me. The apparent high level of difficulty (and 'floaty controls'?) put me off. Did I err in my thinking?

You missed it. They're being a bit tight with the discounts because it hasn't been out long on other platforms.
