Sick Kids Save Point 2018

Is anyone else doing this? A 24 hour marathon of gaming, from October 13-15. I'm sure we had a topic last year for it, but my attempts to search have failed. I'm stepping up for the first time this year, trying to raise a modest sum by going through the main Resident Evil series, or as much of it as is humanly possible in 24 hours.

Here's the link to my page, with obligatory Loki support:

We had an Official GRcade thread for 2014/2015/2016 I believe, but not last year.

I skipped it last year due to real life commitments and I'm doing the same this year. But if you need any help with anything just let me know!

Good luck Cora! I'll sling you some cash on payday!

Yeh I'll donate later today too! Good luck!! :msgreen:

Also if you're using Xbox or PC, use Mixer to stream rather than Twitch. Twitch doesn't seem to work properly using any of the console apps and Mixer you don't have a 30 second twitch delay between live and the stream.

Twitch's delay is around a few seconds now, if the streamer has turned on the setting to reduce delay.

I'll give you a few quid Cora, its a worthy cause.

As a side note - I keep considering doing the SpecialEffect 24 hour gaming blast as you can split it up into two separate 12 hour stints (or just do 12 hours total) but I think even that might be challenging for me. I do donate to them through as they do great work helping severely disabled children and adults (myself included) get (back) into gaming as a means of social interaction.

Just went to donate but there's no Paypal option and I don't like giving out my card details online, registered charity or not.

Justgiving let you use Paypal AFAIK, which really ought to be a standard option for any charitable donation.

Good man :D

Make sure you use Twitter to drum up some support, they're a good crowd and it's great seeing everyone come together over the weekend.

All the best!

Minor bump - doing this next Saturday, any donations are welcome. Thank you to the people who've already chucked very generous amounts into the pot.

I'll be attempting to live tweet the whole thing from @quenbail, and also stream on Twitch via the account CoradeLeon if anyone has a spare half an hour to watch me run Leon repeatedly into a wall. :slol:

It should be, unfortunately this is the site that the charity are using so I didn't want to go it alone and set up a JustGiving page because I don't know how to link everything up and this one did it automatically.

Watching. Not much in the way of commentary yet.

Don't be shy, son.

Keep trying. Despite owning Zero I've never played it so this is interesting.

Paused to try and get the Mic working. No joy. Anyone know if you can make a Rock Band Mic compatible with Twitch on Xbox one?

3:12, good effort, well done.

REMake? Not a chance. It'll be about 3-3.5. No special weapons this time either.

Unfortunately I'm not gonna be able to stream RE2 or 3 as they're being done on PS3, but we're moving into the PS1-era Resi, hoping to be onto RE4 by around 8am.

Delays done with. Resi 4 streaming now. It's a New Game +, so I'll be saving up for the Typewriter and marking fools hopefully.
