£1.2 billion in profits with a revenue of £6.8 billion between July 2011 and June 2012. They appear to be doing pretty well.

They're not going anywhere yet then.

Wouldn't be surprised if they've hit their peek though with so many other ways of getting TV that give genuine choice and don't need kit on the side of your wall emerging.

Does show though that these winbacks are pure gravy to them so of course they can do it. We're told it's to reward our loyalty. Nice to have something offered but we'll just end up with the same high price and needing to go through the whole cancellation thing in a years time anyway (as i just can't accept such a high price for tv anymore).

It's all about the sport. It would take genuine competition to that for it to start significantly losing its' share. And they have the PL rights for another 4 years at least.

it'll be interesting to see if BT mount any challenge at all now they have a chunk of the games from next season.
