i didn't find the comment offensive, in regards to the whole sports coverage thing though i agree with Hank. Sky supplies a brilliant sports service which is much better than anything i have either seen on the bbc or itv, yes it costs but that's everyones own individual choice, unlike say the tv license which is forced upon everyone and is an old institution so the bbc has money coming in. Yes i know they don't have ads but they also don't have much anymore that i watch on the BBC. There are few shows but i would be willing to have ad breaks as i'm very much use to them. Sadly paying for the BBC isn't optional.

The comment was dismissive of their accomplishments and implied the Olympics was a sideshow and now the real stuff begins. Bit silly to say only the day after it ended, especially at a time when national pride is at an all time high. Can understand why people got annoyed.

wtf is everyone in this world some crazy hormonal teenager who reads whatever they like into things . Yeah, I'm sure Sky *really* want people to stop thinking about Wiggins and thus Team Sky too. Yeah, makes perfect sense that after the oodles of cash they've sunk into British cycling. What's more likely is they were trying to be funny and failed.

They're telling us to stop thinking of these athletes one day after the surprisingly successful, surprisingly uplifting London Olympics ended. Imagine if Spurs won the league and a day later Sky were all 'forget that, international football now!'

There's no reading into something that isn't there, it's a stupid comment at a stupid time.
