Anyone here done skydiving before and if so what have your experiences been? A friend is trying to convince me to do it but I'm a bit worried I won't manage to actually do it :dread:

I've done the skywalk in auckland at the start of the year and I was strangely fine, but then did goape a few months ago and felt a little queasy (perhaps because I always felt the slack of the rope in the former but not the latter) but I did do everything. Obviously neither really compare to skydiving, and I think it would be really thrilling, but no doubt incredibly nerve-wracking at the same time. I might end up crydiving like Murr in Impractical Jokers!

Pretty much the best experience you can do legally. Do it.

Also don't worry about chickening out. Once you're in the plane you're going to be jumping out. I did mine in Fiji but with a British instructor who told me on the way up he'd only ever had one person not jump and that was because he was too heavy to be pushed out the plane...

I did it last summer...I didn't particularly want to and I was terrified before. But it was a pretty darn fun experience. The adrenaline made me feel a bit nauseous but I think it was worth it. If your attached to a dude as well there is no worry. You're forced out. Just remember that there is no going back once you're on that plane. Worst bit is the second just before you jump where you have your legs dangling out of the plane. But it over so quick and then you're suddenly experiencing one of the most amazing things you can.
